Lecture organized at Adult Education Centre

ALIGARH February 2: The Centre of Continuing and Adult Education and Extension, Aligarh Muslim University organized a lecture on “Social Work and Personality Development” for the learners by Prof. Naseem Ahmad Khan, Chairperson, Department of Social Work.

In his interactive talk, Prof Khan focused on the concept and value of Social Work, covering the aspects of participation, networking, collaboration, honesty, trust and integrity, equality, respect and dignity.

He stated that humans can involve in working with individuals, groups, families, communities, organizations, NGOs and government departments. He stressed the importance of better communication and interpersonal skills for a benefitting relationship among individuals. He said that the personality of a man is the sum total of his physical, mental, emotional and social characteristic and it needs to be oriented with the growing age.

Hurged to remain calm in all situations and tackle the situation with modesty to enjoy a a good personality. He reiterated Dr. Ambedkar’s statement that “Man’s life is independent. He is born not for the development of the society alone but for the development of himself.

The Director of the Centre Dr. Shamim Akhtar welcomed the guest speaker and extended a vote of thanks.
