Jamia Administrative Staff Association felicitates JMI Vice Chancellor, Prof. Najma Akhtar

Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) Vice Chancellor, Prof. Najma Akhtar was felicitated by the Jamia Administrative Staff Association (JASA) in a function organized following the award of the highest and most coveted A++ Accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) earlier this week. The Vice-Chancellor received a big round of applause from the non-teaching staff, office-bearers of SRK Association, Jamia School Teachers’ Association and all those who were present there. 

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Najma Akhtar highlighted the role and importance of non-teaching staff in smooth conduct of university’s academic affairs. She said that this is the result of hard work and dedication of each and every stakeholders of the university. Now, this is our duty to maintain and improve more in the NAAC accreditation next time. She expressed her happiness and satisfaction at the outcome of the long-drawn NAAC stringent assessment method, she added. 

Prof. Akhtar appealed to all employees of the university to keep contributing to the growth of the institution to achieve new heights. 

Earlier, Mr. Nasim Ahmad, General Secretary, JASA and his team welcomed Vice Chancellor, Prof. Najma Akhtar and presented her bouquet. He said that he is confident the university will touch new heights under able guidance and dynamic leadership of Prof. Najma Akhtar.

 

The programme was attended by the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. Tasnim Fatima, Finance Officer, Ms. Renu Batra, OSD to Vice Chancellor, Prof. Saeed Uddin office-bearers of JASA, SRK Association, Jamia School Teachers’ Association among others.
