ALIGARH, October 1: Fifteen final-year students of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) have been selected by Infoglen Software Services India Private Limited, Gurugram, in a campus recruitment drive conducted at AMU.

A total of 110 students of the 2027 batch of B.Tech. Computer Engineering/Artificial Intelligence, M.Tech. Computer and MCA registered for the recruitment process, which comprised a Group Discussion followed by Technical and HR Interviews.

The selected students are Mohammad Hamdan, Samaiya Kamal and Mohd. Adnan Mohsin (B.Tech. Artificial Intelligence); Mohd. Maaz Ansari, Yatharth Kumar Saxena, Navneet Varshney, Mohd. Talha, Rupesh Varshney and Dipanshi Gaur (B.Tech. Computer Engineering); and Trishit Hazra, Mohd. Asfar Khan, Sauood Ansari, Faisal Khan, Mohd. Mudasir Hussain and Tarana Khan (MCA).

The recruiting team interacted with Prof. Moina Athar, Training and Placement Incharge, and appreciated the quality of students and the standard of education at ZHCET. Prof. Mohammad Muzammil, Principal congratulated the selected students and wished them success in their professional careers.

अलीगढ़, 2 अक्टूबरः अलीगढ़ मुस्लिम विश्वविद्यालय में महात्मा गांधी की 157वीं जयंती पर उनके सत्य, अहिंसा, आत्मानुशासन, सामाजिक जिम्मेदारी और समावेशी राष्ट्र निर्माण के विचारों की वर्तमान समय में प्रासंगिकता पर विचार-विमर्श किया गया। कार्यक्रम में कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता, डिजिटल संचार और वैश्विक चुनौतियों के दौर में गांधी के विचारों को नए संदर्भों में समझने पर जोर दिया गया।

मौलाना आजाद पुस्तकालय के सांस्कृतिक सभागार में आयोजित कार्यक्रम में विश्वविद्यालय के अधिकारियों, शिक्षकों और विद्यार्थियों ने भाग लिया। इस अवसर पर कुलपति प्रो. नइमा खातून ने मौलाना आजाद पुस्तकालय के केंद्रीय सभागार में महात्मा गांधी से संबंधित पुस्तकों, दस्तावेजों और छाया चित्रों की प्रदर्शनी का उद्घाटन भी किया।

कार्यक्रम को संबोधित करते हुए प्रो. नइमा खातून ने विद्यार्थियों से गांधी के केवल परिचित चित्र से आगे बढ़कर उन सिद्धांतों को समझने का आह्वान किया, जिन्होंने उनके जीवन को दिशा दी। गांधी की आत्मकथा ‘सत्य के साथ मेरे प्रयोग’ का उल्लेख करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि गांधी का जीवन निरंतर प्रयोग की प्रक्रिया था। उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों से केवल उनके चित्र पर श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित करने के बजाय उनके द्वारा अपनाए गए मूल्यों को अपने जीवन में समझने और लागू करने का आग्रह किया।

कुलपति ने अलीगढ़ के साथ गांधी के संबंधों का उल्लेख करते हुए 1920 में उनके विश्वविद्यालय आगमन और स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन में मौलाना मोहम्मद अली जौहर तथा शौकत अली की भूमिका को याद किया। उन्होंने कहा कि गांधी का अलीगढ़ से जुड़ाव ऐसे विश्वविद्यालय की भावना को दर्शाता है, जहां बड़े विचारों पर संवाद और प्रश्नों के माध्यम से विचार किया जाता है। उन्होंने गांधी के ‘यंग इंडिया’ में व्यक्त उस विचार का भी उल्लेख किया, जिसमें उन्होंने अपने घर की खिड़कियां सभी संस्कृतियों के लिए खुली रखने, लेकिन किसी भी संस्कृति के प्रभाव में अपनी जड़ों से न उखड़ने की बात कही थी। उन्होंने कहा कि खुलेपन और अपनी जड़ों से जुड़े रहने का यह संतुलन आज भी विश्वविद्यालय और विद्यार्थियों के लिए महत्वपूर्ण है।

प्रो. खातून ने गांधी के सत्य पर जोर और वर्तमान सूचना परिवेश के बीच समानता पर प्रकाश डाला। उन्होंने कहा कि आज के समय में मनगढ़ंत तस्वीरें और अपुष्ट संदेश कुछ ही सेकंड में बड़ी संख्या में लोगों तक पहुंच सकते हैं। ऐसे समय में सत्य के प्रति गांधी की प्रतिबद्धता का नागरिक जीवन में महत्व और बढ़ गया है। उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों से कहा कि संदेश आगे भेजने से पहले उसकी पुष्टि करें और प्रतिक्रिया देने से पहले उसे पढ़ें। उन्होंने इसे दैनिक जीवन में अपनाए जा सकने वाले छोटे-छोटे सत्याग्रह बताया।

कुलपति ने कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता के संदर्भ में गांधी के मशीनों संबंधी विचारों पर भी चर्चा की। उन्होंने कहा कि ‘हिंद स्वराज’ में गांधी की चिंता केवल मशीनों को लेकर नहीं थी, बल्कि ऐसी सभ्यता को लेकर थी जो यह सोचे बिना कि वह किस दिशा में जा रही है, गति को ही प्रगति का पैमाना मान लेती है। उन्होंने कहा कि कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता के संचार, शिक्षा और निर्णय लेने की प्रक्रियाओं को प्रभावित करने के दौर में तकनीकी विकास को मानवीय मूल्यों पर आधारित रखना जरूरी है।

उन्होंने कहा कि वर्तमान पीढ़ी के सामने केवल यह प्रश्न नहीं है कि मशीनें कितनी बुद्धिमान बनेंगी, बल्कि यह भी महत्वपूर्ण है कि मनुष्य यह तय करने के लिए पर्याप्त विवेकशील रहेंगे या नहीं कि इन मशीनों का उपयोग किस उद्देश्य के लिए किया जाना चाहिए।

अपने संबोधन में कुलपति ने गांधी के उस प्रसिद्ध मूल मंत्र का भी उल्लेख किया, जिसमें किसी निर्णय से पहले सबसे गरीब और कमजोर व्यक्ति को याद करने की बात कही गई है। उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों से उन लोगों की गरिमा और जरूरतों पर विचार करने का आह्वान किया, जिनके श्रम से संस्थागत और सामाजिक जीवन चलता है। उन्होंने इस विचार को जलवायु परिवर्तन, युद्ध, पर्यावरणीय क्षरण और सामाजिक असमानता जैसी वर्तमान चुनौतियों से भी जोड़ा।

प्रो. खातून ने कहा, “गांधी ने हमें कोई नया सिद्धांत नहीं दिया, बल्कि हमारा अपना विवेक हमें वापस सौंपा और उसका उपयोग करने को कहा।” उन्होंने विश्वविद्यालय समुदाय से सत्य और अहिंसा के मूल्यों को दैनिक व्यवहार में उतारने का आह्वान किया।

कुलपति ने राष्ट्रीय एकता की शपथ और स्वच्छता की शपथ भी दिलाई। उन्होंने गांधी के राष्ट्रीय एकता और सार्वजनिक स्वच्छता के आदर्शों को वर्तमान नागरिक जिम्मेदारियों से जोड़ने पर जोर दिया।

विश्वविद्यालय के शिक्षकों ने भी गांधी के जीवन और दर्शन के विभिन्न पहलुओं पर विचार रखे। मनोविज्ञान विभाग की प्रो. रूमाना एन. सिद्दीकी ने गांधी के जीवन के मनोवैज्ञानिक और मानवीय पहलुओं पर चर्चा की। उन्होंने वर्तमान जीवन की चुनौतियों और दबावों से निपटने में आत्मानुशासन, सहानुभूति और आंतरिक शक्ति की प्रासंगिकता पर प्रकाश डाला।

उर्दू अकादमी के निदेशक डॉ. जुबैर शादाब खान ने गांधी की साहित्यिक और सांस्कृतिक विरासत पर विचार रखते हुए शांति, सद्भाव और मानवीय गरिमा के उनके संदेश की वर्तमान प्रासंगिकता बताई। उन्होंने सामाजिक एकता को मजबूत करने में संवाद, आपसी सम्मान और समझ के महत्व पर भी जोर दिया।

विद्यार्थी वक्ताओं एमबीबीएस तृतीय वर्ष के शहान उस्मानी और बीए ऑनर्स मनोविज्ञान पांचवें सेमेस्टर की तैयबा फातिमा मजहर ने युवाओं के लिए गांधी को निरंतर प्रेरणा का स्रोत बताया। उन्होंने सत्य, करुणा, साहस और नैतिक दृढ़ता के प्रति गांधी की प्रतिबद्धता का उल्लेख करते हुए युवा पीढ़ी से इन मूल्यों को दैनिक जीवन में अपनाने का आह्वान किया।

मौलाना आजाद पुस्तकालय में कुलपति द्वारा उद्घाटित प्रदर्शनी में महात्मा गांधी से संबंधित पुस्तकें, दस्तावेज और छायाचित्र प्रदर्शित किए गए हैं। प्रदर्शनी में स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन के साथ गांधी के संबंधों और अलीगढ़ से उनके ऐतिहासिक जुड़ाव को भी प्रमुखता से प्रस्तुत किया गया है। यह प्रदर्शनी 2 और 3 अक्टूबर को दर्शकों के लिए खुली रहेगी। गांधी द्वरा हस्तलिखित पत्र, ‘हरिजन’ जैसी गांधी की पत्रिकाऐं तथा गांधी के संपूर्ण लेखन के सभी अंक भी प्रदर्शित किये गये हैं।

कार्यक्रम में सहकुलपति प्रो. मोहम्मद मोहसिन खान, रजिस्ट्रार प्रो. आसिम जफर, शिक्षक, विद्यार्थी और विश्वविद्यालय के अधिकारी उपस्थित रहे। कार्यक्रम का संचालन डॉ. अहमद मुज्तबा सिद्दीकी ने किया। विश्वविद्यालय की पुस्तकालयाध्यक्ष प्रो. निशात फातिमा ने धन्यवाद ज्ञापित किया। कार्यक्रम में बड़ी संख्या में विश्वविद्यालय के अधिकारी, शिक्षक, विद्यार्थी और कर्मचारी शामिल हुए।

AMU’s S.N. Hall, AMU Welcomes New Residents, Inducts Post                                                                                                                   Holders and Launches Two New Cells

ALIGARH, October 1: Sarojini Naidu (S.N.) Hall, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), organised an orientation programme for newly admitted residents and a badge ceremony for the newly appointed Post Holders for the 2026-27 session. The Hall also inaugurated two new cells, Counselling Cell and Entertainment Cell, on the occasion.

Presided over by Prof. Orus Ilyas, Provost, S.N. Hall, the programme welcomed the new residents and formally invested the Post Holders with their responsibilities. Prof. Ilyas urged students to follow Hall rules, maintain harmony and make full use of the facilities available. She also encouraged senior residents to extend affection and support to their juniors and foster a culture of friendship and mutual respect.

Prof. Fatima Khan, Provost, Begum Sultan Jahan Hall, and Dr. Faiza Abbasi, Programme Director, UGC-MMTTC, AMU, congratulated the newly appointed Post Holders and encouraged them to discharge their responsibilities with dedication, discipline and a spirit of service.

The newly constituted Counselling Cell will provide residents with a confidential and non-judgemental space for emotional support and guidance, with referrals to professional help whenever required. The Entertainment Cell will provide opportunities for students to showcase their talents and organise cultural, recreational and celebratory activities.

The two cells reflect the Hall’s effort to support both the emotional well-being and creative development of its residents.

अलीगढ़, 1 अक्टूबरः अलीगढ़ मुस्लिम विश्वविद्यालय के सरोजिनी नायडू हॉल में वर्ष 2026-27 सत्र के नवप्रवेशित छात्राओं के लिए इंडक्शन कार्यक्रम तथा नवनियुक्त पदाधिकारियों के लिए बैज समारोह आयोजित किया गया। इस अवसर पर हॉल में परामर्श प्रकोष्ठ और मनोरंजन प्रकोष्ठ का भी शुभारंभ किया गया।
कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता एस.एन. हॉल की प्रोवोस्ट प्रो. उरूस इलियास ने की। उन्होंने नए विद्यार्थियों का स्वागत करते हुए नवनियुक्त पदाधिकारियों को उनकी जिम्मेदारियां सौंपीं। उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों से हॉल के नियमों का पालन करने, आपसी सौहार्द बनाए रखने और उपलब्ध सुविधाओं का अधिकतम उपयोग करने का आग्रह किया। उन्होंने वरिष्ठ छात्राओं से कनिष्ठ छात्राओं के प्रति स्नेह और सहयोग की भावना रखते हुए मित्रता तथा आपसी सम्मान का वातावरण विकसित करने का भी आह्वान किया।
बेगम सुल्तान जहां हॉल की प्रोवोस्ट प्रो. फातिमा खान और यूजीसी-मालवीय मिशन शिक्षक प्रशिक्षण केंद्र की कार्यक्रम निदेशक डॉ. फायजा अब्बासी ने नवनियुक्त पदाधिकारियों को बधाई दी और उन्हें समर्पण, अनुशासन तथा सेवा भावना के साथ अपनी जिम्मेदारियां निभाने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया।
नवगठित परामर्श प्रकोष्ठ छात्राओं  को भावनात्मक सहयोग और मार्गदर्शन के लिए गोपनीय एवं बिना किसी पूर्वाग्रह के सहायता का वातावरण उपलब्ध कराएगा। आवश्यकता पड़ने पर विद्यार्थियों को विशेषज्ञ सहायता भी उपलब्ध कराई जाएगी। मनोरंजन प्रकोष्ठ विद्यार्थियों को अपनी प्रतिभा प्रदर्शित करने तथा सांस्कृतिक, मनोरंजक और उत्सव संबंधी गतिविधियां आयोजित करने के अवसर प्रदान करेगा।
ये दोनों प्रकोष्ठ हाल की छात्राओं के भावनात्मक कल्याण के साथ-साथ उनकी रचनात्मक प्रतिभा के विकास में सहयोग करेंगे।

अलीगढ़, 1 अक्टूबरः अलीगढ़ मुस्लिम विश्वविद्यालय के इंजीनियरिंग कालिज के 15 अंतिम वर्ष के विद्यार्थियों का गुरुग्राम स्थित इन्फोग्लेन सॉफ्टवेयर सर्विसेज इंडिया प्राइवेट लिमिटेड द्वारा आयोजित कैम्पस प्लेसमेंट अभियान में चयन हुआ है।
भर्ती प्रक्रिया में वर्ष 2027 बैच के बीटेक कंप्यूटर इंजीनियरिंग, बीटेक कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता, एमटेक कंप्यूटर और एमसीए के कुल 110 विद्यार्थियों ने पंजीकरण कराया। चयन प्रक्रिया में समूह चर्चा के बाद तकनीकी और मानव संसाधन साक्षात्कार आयोजित किए गए।
चयनित विद्यार्थियों में बीटेक कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता से मोहम्मद हमदान, समाइया कमाल और मोहम्मद अदनान मोहसिन शामिल हैं। बीटेक कंप्यूटर इंजीनियरिंग से मोहम्मद माज अंसारी, यथार्थ कुमार सक्सेना, नवनीत वाष्र्णेय, मोहम्मद तल्हा, रूपेश वाष्र्णेय और दिपांशी गौर का चयन हुआ है। एमसीए से त्रिशित हजरा, मोहम्मद असफर खान, सऊद अंसारी, फैसल खान, मोहम्मद मुदस्सिर हुसैन और तराना खान चयनित हुए हैं।
भर्ती दल ने प्रशिक्षण एवं नियोजन प्रभारी प्रो. मुईना अतहर से मुलाकात की और जेडएचसीईटी के विद्यार्थियों की गुणवत्ता तथा शिक्षा के स्तर की सराहना की। प्राचार्य प्रो. मोहम्मद मुजम्मिल ने चयनित विद्यार्थियों को बधाई देते हुए उनके सफल पेशेवर जीवन की कामना की।

AMU Co-Hosts World Congress on Nanomedicine; AMU Faculty                            Member Presents Cancer Research in Delhi                

ALIGARH, September 30: Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) was among the co-hosts of the World Congress on Nanomedicine 2026 held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, where Prof. Mohammad Azhar Aziz, Professor and Founder Director, Cancer Nanomedicine Consortium, AMU, presented research on the use of nanomedicine to restore the function of a tumour suppressor gene.

Prof. Aziz delivered an invited lecture titled “Nanomedicine Approach to Restore the Function of a Novel Tumour Suppressor Gene” at the three-day international congress, which brought together scientists, clinicians, researchers and young investigators from India and abroad. He was also a member of the National Advisory Committee of the Congress.

The Congress, held under the chairmanship of Nobel laureate Prof. Roger Kornberg and hosted by the Institute of Nano Medical Sciences, University of Delhi, focused on emerging applications of nanotechnology in medicine.

Prof. Aziz’s presentation highlighted an emerging area of cancer research in which nanotechnology is being explored to address molecular abnormalities associated with cancer. His work brings together nanotechnology, cancer biology, molecular medicine and precision oncology, reflecting the growing importance of interdisciplinary approaches in developing new therapeutic strategies.

His association with the Congress in both scientific and advisory capacities also placed AMU’s ongoing work in cancer nanomedicine within a wider national and international research forum.

The Cancer Nanomedicine Consortium at AMU, founded by Prof. Aziz, brings together researchers and clinicians from multiple disciplines for collaborative work in cancer diagnosis, targeted therapeutics and precision medicine. AMU’s Interdisciplinary Nanotechnology Centre also works at the interface of nanotechnology and biomedical sciences.

Prof. Aziz emphasised that interdisciplinary collaboration is essential for translating advances in nanotechnology into biological and clinical applications. The Congress provided AMU researchers an opportunity to engage with the wider nanomedicine community and explore research collaborations.

अलीगढ़, 30 सितंबरः अलीगढ़ मुस्लिम विश्वविद्यालय के यूजीसी मालवीय मिशन शिक्षक प्रशिक्षण केंद्र में आयोजित दो शिक्षक विकास कार्यक्रमों का समापन सीएएलईएम सभागार में सर्टीफिकेट वितरण के साथ हुआ। इन कार्यक्रमों में देशभर के विश्वविद्यालयों और महाविद्यालयों के 153 शिक्षकों ने भाग लिया।

समापन सत्र की अध्यक्षता करते हुए एएमयू की कुलपति प्रो. नइमा खातून ने कार्यक्रम पूरा करने पर सभी प्रतिभागियों को बधाई दी। उन्होंने राष्ट्र निर्माण में शिक्षक प्रशिक्षण और व्यावसायिक विकास की भूमिका पर जोर देते हुए कहा कि शिक्षक आजीवन सीखने, नवाचार और शैक्षणिक उत्कृष्टता के प्रमुख आधार हैं।

मुख्य अतिथि राजा महेंद्र प्रताप सिंह विश्वविद्यालय, अलीगढ़ के कुलसचिव प्रबुद्ध सिंह, पीसीएस ने वर्तमान शैक्षिक चुनौतियों के अनुरूप शिक्षकों और उच्च शिक्षण संस्थानों की बदलती भूमिका पर प्रकाश डाला। उन्होंने कहा कि विकसित भारत का सपना ऐसे कक्षा कक्षों के माध्यम से साकार होगा, जहां समग्र शिक्षा पर ध्यान दिया जाता है।

एएमयू शिक्षा विभाग की अध्यक्ष प्रो. निखत नसरीन ने कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता और मशीन लर्निंग से तेजी से प्रभावित हो रहे शिक्षा क्षेत्र की चुनौतियों पर चर्चा की। उन्होंने कहा कि शिक्षण, सीखने और शोध में शिक्षक हमेशा महत्वपूर्ण बने रहेंगे। शिक्षक की भूमिका केवल ज्ञान देने तक सीमित नहीं है, बल्कि विद्यार्थियों को प्रेरित करना भी उसका महत्वपूर्ण दायित्व है।

यूजीसी एमएमटीटीसी की कार्यक्रम निदेशक डॉ. फायजा अब्बासी ने अतिथियों और प्रतिभागियों का स्वागत किया तथा एएमयू की शैक्षणिक उत्कृष्टता, विविधता और समावेशी परंपरा पर प्रकाश डाला। उन्होंने केंद्र में प्रतिभागियों को उपलब्ध कराए गए सीखने के अनुकूल वातावरण और आतिथ्य के बारे में भी जानकारी दी।

प्रतिभागियों ने कार्यक्रम के दौरान अपने अनुभव साझा किए। लोहाघाट, चंपावत के डॉ. किशोर चंद्र जोशी और सिधरवाली की डॉ. पूनम धुल ने रिफ्रेशर कोर्स के अनुभव बताए, जबकि बड़ौत, बागपत की डॉ. अर्चना सिंह और जौनपुर के सौरभ कुमार दुबे ने शिक्षक इंडक्श्ज्ञन कार्यक्रम से जुड़े अपने अनुभव साझा किए।

अलीगढ़, 30 सितंबरः अलीगढ़ मुस्लिम विश्वविद्यालय के यूजीसी मालवीय मिशन शिक्षक प्रशिक्षण केंद्र में आयोजित दो शिक्षक विकास कार्यक्रमों का समापन सीएएलईएम सभागार में सर्टीफिकेट वितरण के साथ हुआ। इन कार्यक्रमों में देशभर के विश्वविद्यालयों और महाविद्यालयों के 153 शिक्षकों ने भाग लिया।

समापन सत्र की अध्यक्षता करते हुए एएमयू की कुलपति प्रो. नइमा खातून ने कार्यक्रम पूरा करने पर सभी प्रतिभागियों को बधाई दी। उन्होंने राष्ट्र निर्माण में शिक्षक प्रशिक्षण और व्यावसायिक विकास की भूमिका पर जोर देते हुए कहा कि शिक्षक आजीवन सीखने, नवाचार और शैक्षणिक उत्कृष्टता के प्रमुख आधार हैं।

मुख्य अतिथि राजा महेंद्र प्रताप सिंह विश्वविद्यालय, अलीगढ़ के कुलसचिव प्रबुद्ध सिंह, पीसीएस ने वर्तमान शैक्षिक चुनौतियों के अनुरूप शिक्षकों और उच्च शिक्षण संस्थानों की बदलती भूमिका पर प्रकाश डाला। उन्होंने कहा कि विकसित भारत का सपना ऐसे कक्षा कक्षों के माध्यम से साकार होगा, जहां समग्र शिक्षा पर ध्यान दिया जाता है।

एएमयू शिक्षा विभाग की अध्यक्ष प्रो. निखत नसरीन ने कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता और मशीन लर्निंग से तेजी से प्रभावित हो रहे शिक्षा क्षेत्र की चुनौतियों पर चर्चा की। उन्होंने कहा कि शिक्षण, सीखने और शोध में शिक्षक हमेशा महत्वपूर्ण बने रहेंगे। शिक्षक की भूमिका केवल ज्ञान देने तक सीमित नहीं है, बल्कि विद्यार्थियों को प्रेरित करना भी उसका महत्वपूर्ण दायित्व है।

यूजीसी एमएमटीटीसी की कार्यक्रम निदेशक डॉ. फायजा अब्बासी ने अतिथियों और प्रतिभागियों का स्वागत किया तथा एएमयू की शैक्षणिक उत्कृष्टता, विविधता और समावेशी परंपरा पर प्रकाश डाला। उन्होंने केंद्र में प्रतिभागियों को उपलब्ध कराए गए सीखने के अनुकूल वातावरण और आतिथ्य के बारे में भी जानकारी दी।

प्रतिभागियों ने कार्यक्रम के दौरान अपने अनुभव साझा किए। लोहाघाट, चंपावत के डॉ. किशोर चंद्र जोशी और सिधरवाली की डॉ. पूनम धुल ने रिफ्रेशर कोर्स के अनुभव बताए, जबकि बड़ौत, बागपत की डॉ. अर्चना सिंह और जौनपुर के सौरभ कुमार दुबे ने शिक्षक इंडक्श्ज्ञन कार्यक्रम से जुड़े अपने अनुभव साझा किए।

एएमयू में विश्व हृदय दिवस पर विशेषज्ञों ने बचाव, समय पर जांच और स्वस्थ जीवनशैली पर दिया जोर

अलीगढ़, 29 सितंबरः हृदय और रक्त वाहिकाओं से जुड़े रोगों से बचाव तथा समय पर उपचार के महत्व को रेखांकित करते हुए अलीगढ़ मुस्लिम विश्वविद्यालय में आज विश्व हृदय दिवस-2026 मनाया गया। इस अवसर पर जवाहरलाल नेहरू मेडिकल कॉलेज के सभागार में हृदय रोग एवं रेडियोलॉजी विभाग तथा व्यवसाय प्रशासन विभाग के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में शैक्षणिक कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया।

‘एक भी धड़कन न चूकें’ विषय पर आयोजित कार्यक्रम में चिकित्सा विशेषज्ञों, शिक्षकों, रेजिडेंट चिकित्सकों और विद्यार्थियों ने हृदय रोगों से बचाव, जोखिम कारकों और स्वस्थ जीवनशैली पर चर्चा की। कार्यक्रम में बचाव, समय पर रोग की पहचान, विशेषज्ञ उपचार और जनस्वास्थ्य जागरूकता के साथ गुणवत्तापूर्ण, प्रमाण आधारित और मरीज केंद्रित चिकित्सा सेवाओं पर जोर दिया गया।

कार्यक्रम का उद्घाटन मुख्य अतिथि एएमयू की कुलपति प्रो. नइमा खातून ने किया। इस अवसर पर विशिष्ट अतिथि सहकुलपति प्रो. मोहम्मद मोहसिन खान भी मौजूद रहे।

प्रो. नइमा खातून ने कहा कि हृदय का स्वास्थ्य संपूर्ण स्वास्थ्य का महत्वपूर्ण हिस्सा है और बदलती जीवनशैली के दौर में इस पर अधिक ध्यान देने की जरूरत है। उन्होंने कहा कि तनाव, अस्वास्थ्यकर खान-पान और शारीरिक गतिविधियों की कमी से हृदय रोगों का खतरा बढ़ रहा है और इसका प्रभाव कम उम्र के लोगों में भी दिखाई दे रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि विश्व हृदय दिवस लोगों को बचाव के उपाय अपनाने और समय पर चिकित्सकीय सलाह लेने के लिए जागरूक करने का महत्वपूर्ण अवसर है। उन्होंने हृदय रोगों की चिकित्सा और सामुदायिक जागरूकता के क्षेत्र में एएमयू की प्रतिबद्धता दोहराई।

कार्यक्रम में सहकुलपति प्रो. मोहम्मद मोहसिन खान के अलावा चिकित्सा संकाय के अधिष्ठाता प्रो. मोहम्मद खालिद, जवाहरलाल नेहरू मेडिकल कॉलेज के प्रधानाचार्य एवं मुख्य चिकित्सा अधीक्षक प्रो. अंजुम परवेज, चिकित्सा अधीक्षक प्रो. नैयर आसिफ, वरिष्ठ अधिकारी, शिक्षक, रेजिडेंट चिकित्सक और विद्यार्थी मौजूद रहे।

स्वागत भाषण में प्रो. मलिक मोहम्मद अजहरुद्दीन ने बचाव आधारित हृदय चिकित्सा के महत्व पर प्रकाश डाला। ‘बचाव आधारित हृदय चिकित्सा के सिद्धांत’ विषय पर उन्होंने जीवनशैली में सुधार और हृदय रोग के जोखिम की शुरुआती जांच को हृदय स्वास्थ्य बनाए रखने के महत्वपूर्ण उपाय बताया।

वैज्ञानिक सत्रों में हृदय रोगों के विभिन्न पहलुओं पर चर्चा की गई। प्रो. आसिफ हसन ने कोरोनरी धमनी रोग से जुड़े आम भ्रमों पर प्रमाण आधारित जानकारी दी। प्रो. मोहम्मद आजम हसीन ने परिधीय धमनी रोग, उसके जोखिम कारकों और बचाव के उपायों पर जानकारी दी।

डॉ. मोहम्मद रियाजुद्दीन ने धूम्रपान छोड़ने के उपायों पर प्रकाश डाला, जबकि प्रो. हामिद अशरफ ने मोटापे को हृदय रोग का एक महत्वपूर्ण और नियंत्रित किया जा सकने वाला जोखिम कारक बताया। प्रो. मेहताब अहमद ने कोरोनरी धमनी में कैल्शियम की जांच की भूमिका और हृदय रोग के जोखिम के आकलन एवं उपचार के बारे में जानकारी दी। डॉ. हुसैनी एस. हैदर मेहदी ने माश रोग तथा चयापचय संबंधी विकारों, यकृत और हृदय के बीच संबंध पर चर्चा की।

कार्यक्रम में हृदय को स्वस्थ रखने के लिए लगातार बचाव, स्वस्थ जीवनशैली, जोखिम की पहचान और समय पर चिकित्सा देखभाल जरूरी है। साथ ही जवाहरलाल नेहरू मेडिकल कॉलेज द्वारा विशेषज्ञ चिकित्सा सेवाओं के साथ बचाव आधारित चिकित्सा और जनजागरूकता को बढ़ावा देने के प्रयासों को भी रेखांकित किया गया।

कार्यक्रम का संचालन डॉ. सैयद हादी अली रिजवी ने किया, जबकि धन्यवाद ज्ञापन एएमयू के प्रबंधन विभाग की अध्यक्ष प्रो. सलमा अहमद ने किया।

AMU Department of Social Work Concludes Orientation Programme for MSW Students

ALIGARH, September 29: The Department of Social Work, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), concluded its seven-day 31st Orientation Programme for MSW first-semester students with a valedictory programme at the Faculty of Arts Lounge. The programme, held from September 21 to 28, was designed to familiarise newly admitted students with the University and the Department and to support their academic, personal and professional development.

Prof. Vibha Sharma, Department of English, was the chief guest, while Prof. Shamim Ahmad, Department of Commerce, was the guest of honour. Prof. Naseem Ahmad Khan, former Chairperson of the Department, Prof. Shahzad, Department of Botany and Mr. Saad Hameed, Training and Placement Officer (General), also attended the programme.

Speaking as the chief guest, Prof. Vibha Sharma encouraged the students to set clear priorities and maintain a balance between passion and profession. She emphasised that a person’s identity should be rooted in values and character rather than popularity or material success. She also underlined the importance of ‘Tameez’ and ‘Tarbiyat’ in shaping personality and recalled Sir Syed Ahmad Khan’s vision of students becoming job providers rather than merely job seekers.

Prof. Shamim Ahmad, the guest of honour, highlighted the wide range of specialisations in social work and advised students to choose their career paths according to their interests and strengths. He stressed the importance of communication skills, body language, subject knowledge, professional presentation and the ability to build healthy relationships.

Mr. Saad Hameed spoke about career planning and advised students to develop clarity of purpose, a sense of direction and strong work ethics. He identified subject knowledge, effective speaking and writing skills, and a positive personality with team-building, social and leadership qualities as important attributes for MSW students. He encouraged them to make full use of AMU’s facilities, plan their careers from an early stage and remain in touch with the TPO volunteers in the Department.

Prof. Naseem Ahmad Khan explained the purpose of the orientation programme. He also apprised the students of various employment opportunities available to social workers in government and community sectors.

Earlier, welcoming the guests, Dr. Mohammad Tahir, Chairman, Department of Social Work and Coordinator of the Orientation Programme, spoke about the role, scope, areas and objectives of social work. Describing social workers as change makers, he encouraged the students to approach their profession with commitment and a sense of social responsibility.

During the week, the students attended around 30 lectures delivered by faculty members from Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Psychiatry, Community Medicine, Radiotherapy, Anesthesiology, TB and Chest Diseases, Oral Pathology, Political Science and School Education. Experts from placement, public relations, NGO and HR backgrounds also interacted with the students.

The programme was hosted by Dr. Mohd. Arif Khan. Participation certificates were distributed among the MSW first-year and final-year students. Dr.QurratulAein Ali proposed the vote of thanks.

AMU Faculty Member Upholds Seerat-un-Nabi as a Source of Complete Guidance for Humanity

ALIGARH, September 26: Addressing the annual Seerat-un-Nabi programme at the B.S. Abdul Rahman Auditorium of the India Islamic Cultural Centre, New Delhi, Dr Rehan Akhtar, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Theology, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), said that the life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was not merely a collection of historical events but a comprehensive source of guidance for humanity.

Speaking on ‘Seerat-un-Nabi: Life, Character and Teachings’, Dr Akhtar highlighted the Prophet’s teachings on morality, justice, human dignity, social relations, tolerance and mutual respect. He said that the Prophet’s approach to social reform began with the transformation of individual character and gradually extended to society.

Referring to incidents from the Prophet’s life, Dr Akhtar highlighted his compassion, patience, respect for human dignity and concern for the weak and vulnerable. He particularly cited his gentle treatment of Hazrat Anas (RA), his standing in respect when the funeral procession of a Jewish person passed by, and his visit to a Jewish boy who had fallen ill.

Dr Akhtar also highlighted the Prophet’s emphasis on women’s education and the rights of children, orphans and other vulnerable sections. He said that the Seerah had also attracted the attention of scholars and writers beyond the Muslim world, reflecting its wider historical and intellectual significance.

Concluding his address, Dr Akhtar said that the spirit of Seerat-un-Nabi could not be confined to a particular day or gathering. He emphasised that its teachings should be reflected in everyday life through patience, justice, compassion and respect for fellow human beings.

Aligarh, September 28: The two-day International Conference on “Educational and Economic Status of Muslims in India: Challenges, Opportunities and Policy Recommendations”, organised by the Centre for Promotion of Educational and Cultural Advancement of Muslims of India (CEPECAMI), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), concluded on September 27 with a renewed call for sustained research, inclusive educational opportunities, economic empowerment and evidence-based policy interventions.

Held on September 26–27, the conference brought together eminent academicians, scholars, policymakers, educationists and experts from across the country to examine contemporary educational and economic challenges and deliberate on constructive, research-driven approaches for expanding opportunities and strengthening institutional support.

The conference was inaugurated by Prof. Naima Khatoon, Vice-Chancellor, AMU, with Mr Manoj Yadav, IPS, Director General, Haryana Institute of Public Administration, as Chief Guest. Prof. Amitabh Kundu, former Professor of Economics, Jawaharlal Nehru University, delivered the Keynote Address, while Prof. K. M. Baharul Islam, Director and Professor, Institute of Management Technology, Hyderabad, attended as Guest of Honour.

The academic programme featured 10 technical sessions, during which 170 research papers were presented on diverse dimensions of the educational, socio-economic and cultural advancement of Muslims in India. The deliberations covered contemporary challenges, emerging opportunities, institutional concerns, skill development, economic empowerment and possible policy interventions. Four panel discussions further enriched the conference by bringing together scholars, educationists and experts for wider academic exchange and critical reflection.

The Valedictory Session, held on September 27, was presided over by Prof. Mohsin Khan, Pro Vice-Chancellor, AMU. Emphasising the importance of constructive academic engagement, Prof. Khan said that “research must ultimately contribute to meaningful social progress and help develop informed, inclusive and practical solutions.”

Prof. Mohammad Gulrez, former Vice-Chancellor, AMU, the Chief Guest, stressed the need to connect scholarship with action. He observed that “academic deliberations acquire greater significance when they lead to constructive initiatives and strengthen educational and economic opportunities.”

Prof. Abdur Raheem Kidwai, Honorary Director, K. A. Nizami Centre for Quranic Studies, AMU, the Guest of Honour, highlighted the importance of knowledge and inclusive development.

A comprehensive report of the proceedings was presented by Dr Andaleeb, highlighting the major discussions and observations emerging from the various sessions. Prof. Mohammad Mohibul Haque, Director, CEPECAMI, presented the policy recommendations compiled from the conference deliberations. The recommendations sought to identify practical and policy-oriented measures for strengthening educational inclusion, skill development, economic empowerment, institutional capacity-building and access to opportunities.

The valedictory programme was conducted by Dr Ahmad Mujtaba Siddiqui, Assistant Director, CEPECAMI and Co-convener of the conference. Scholars and distinguished participants were also felicitated in recognition of their academic contributions and valuable participation.

The conference concluded with an emphasis on strengthening the link between research, policy and institutional action, while promoting continued dialogue among academia, policymakers and stakeholders. The extensive participation provided a significant platform for informed discourse and for exploring constructive pathways towards educational and economic advancement.

 Jamia Millia Islamia has achieved a significant milestone in global sustainability rankings by securing 334^th position worldwide in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2026, improving substantially from 376^th position in 2025. The University has thus recorded an impressive 42-place improvement in the global ranking.

 

JMI has also secured 13^th position in India and 192^nd position in Asia, reaffirming its continued commitment to sustainability, environmental responsibility and sustainable campus development. According to the official UI GreenMetric 2026 ranking, JMI is placed at 334th globally, 13th nationally and 192nd in Asia.

 

The UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, an international sustainability ranking initiative associated with Universitas Indonesia, evaluates universities on various dimensions of sustainable development and campus sustainability. The 2026 edition includes universities from around the world and assesses their performance across key sustainability-related indicators.

 

Expressing his delight over this remarkable accomplishment, Prof. Mazhar Asif, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, Jamia Millia Islamia, congratulated the entire Jamia fraternity, including faculty members, students, researchers, alumni and staff, for their collective contribution towards this achievement.

जामिया मिल्लिया इस्लामिया ने वैश्विक सस्टेनेबिलिटी (स्थिरता) रैंकिंग में एक महत्वपूर्ण उपलब्धि हासिल की है। विश्वविद्यालय ने UI ग्रीनमेट्रिक वर्ल्ड यूनिवर्सिटी रैंकिंग्स 2026 में दुनिया भर में 334वां स्थान प्राप्त किया है, जो 2025 में 376वें स्थान से काफी बेहतर है। इस प्रकार विश्वविद्यालय ने वैश्विक रैंकिंग में 42 स्थान का प्रभावशाली बढ़ोतरी दर्ज की है।

 

जामिया ने भारत में 13वां और एशिया में 192वां स्थान भी हासिल किया है, जो सस्टेनेबिलिटी, पर्यावरणीय जिम्मेदारी और सस्टेनेबल कैंपस विकास के प्रति इसकी निरंतर प्रतिबद्धता को फिर से साबित करता है। आधिकारिक UI ग्रीनमेट्रिक 2026 रैंकिंग के अनुसार, JMI वैश्विक स्तर पर 334वें, राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर 13वें और एशिया में 192वें स्थान पर है।

 

UI ग्रीनमेट्रिक वर्ल्ड यूनिवर्सिटी रैंकिंग्स, जो यूनिवर्सिटास इंडोनेशिया से जुड़ी एक अंतरराष्ट्रीय सस्टेनेबिलिटी रैंकिंग पहल है, सस्टेनेबल डेवलपमेंट और कैंपस सस्टेनेबिलिटी के विभिन्न पहलुओं पर विश्वविद्यालयों का मूल्यांकन करती है। 2026 के संस्करण में दुनिया भर के विश्वविद्यालय शामिल हैं और सस्टेनेबिलिटी से जुड़े कीय सस्टेनेबिलिटी-रिलेटेड इंडीकेटर्स पर उनके प्रदर्शन का आकलन किया गया है।

 

इस उल्लेखनीय उपलब्धि पर खुशी जाहिर करते हुए, जामिया मिल्लिया इस्लामिया के माननीय कुलपति प्रो. मजहर आसिफ़ ने इस उपलब्धि में सामूहिक योगदान के लिए फैकल्टी सदस्यों, छात्रों, शोधकर्ताओं, पूर्व छात्रों और कर्मचारियों सहित पूरे जामिया परिवार को बधाई दी।

 

प्रो. मजहर आसिफ़ ने कहा कि यह पहचान शैक्षणिक उत्कृष्टता, पर्यावरणीय जिम्मेदारी, सस्टेनेबल डेवलपमेंट और उच्च शिक्षा में गुणवत्ता के प्रति विश्वविद्यालय के निरंतर प्रयासों का प्रमाण है। उन्होंने आगे विश्वास व्यक्त किया कि जेएमआई अपनी सस्टेनेबिलिटी पहलों को मजबूत करना जारी रखेगा और आने वाले वर्षों में और भी बड़ी उपलब्धियां हासिल करेगा। जामिया मिल्लिया इस्लामिया के रजिस्ट्रार, प्रो. मो. महताब आलम रिज़वी ने इस उपलब्धि को यूनिवर्सिटी के लिए बहुत गर्व की बात बताया। उन्होंने राष्ट्रीय और अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर JMI की एकेडमिक और संस्थागत स्थिति को मजबूत करने में सभी संबंधित लोगों की सामूहिक कोशिशों की सराहना की।

 

यूनिवर्सिटी ने IQAC की डायरेक्टर प्रो. रफ़त परवीन और उनकी समर्पित टीम के नेतृत्व में 'इंटरनल क्वालिटी एश्योरेंस सेल' (IQAC) के अहम योगदान को भी माना। क्वालिटी एश्योरेंस, संस्थागत डेटा मैनेजमेंट, रैंकिंग और एक्रेडिटेशन प्रक्रियाओं, सस्टेनेबिलिटी से जुड़े डेटा को इकट्ठा करने और सबूत-आधारित गवर्नेंस पर लगातार ध्यान देकर, IQAC ने विभिन्न राष्ट्रीय और अंतरराष्ट्रीय रैंकिंग फ्रेमवर्क में यूनिवर्सिटी के प्रदर्शन को बेहतर बनाने और उसमें मदद करने में अहम भूमिका निभाई है।

 

यह उपलब्धि जामिया मिल्लिया इस्लामिया की विभिन्न फैकल्टी, विभागों, केंद्रों, प्रशासनिक इकाइयों, फैकल्टी सदस्यों, छात्रों, शोधकर्ताओं और कर्मचारियों की साझा कोशिशों को दर्शाती है। सस्टेनेबल कैंपस प्रैक्टिस, पर्यावरण प्रबंधन, संसाधनों के संरक्षण, ग्रीन इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर और जिम्मेदार संस्थागत विकास में उनके सामूहिक योगदान ने ग्लोबल सस्टेनेबिलिटी के क्षेत्र में जेएमआई की स्थिति को मजबूत किया है।

 

UI ग्रीनमेट्रिक रैंकिंग में यूनिवर्सिटी की लगातार प्रगति, सस्टेनेबिलिटी, पर्यावरण के प्रति जागरूकता और जिम्मेदार संसाधन प्रबंधन को अपने एकेडमिक, रिसर्च और प्रशासनिक इकोसिस्टम में शामिल करने के उसके संकल्प को दर्शाती है।

 

दुनिया भर में 334वें, भारत में 13वें और एशिया में 192वें स्थान पर अपनी बेहतर स्थिति के साथ, जेएमआई उत्कृष्टता, सस्टेनेबिलिटी और अधिक वैश्विक पहचान की ओर अपना सफर जारी रखे हुए है।
