AMU’s Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Hall and NCC Organise Plantation Drive

Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Hall, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), in collaboration with 1 UP Engineer Company NCC, AMU, organised a plantation drive under the theme “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” at the Hall premises.

Around 40 NCC cadets, along with residents of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Hall, participated enthusiastically in the drive, aimed at promoting environmental conservation, sustainability and awareness among members of the University community.

Prof. Mohammad Naved Khan, Proctor, was the Chief Guest, while Prof. Mohammad Athar Ansari, Dean, Students’ Welfare, was the Special Guest. Among the other guests were Prof. Anwar Shahzad, Member In-Charge, Land & Gardens; Prof. Riaz Ahmad, Member In-Charge, DawakhanaTibbiya College and AMU Gas Agency; Dr. Ali Jafar Abedi, University Health Officer; Prof. SheerazKirmani, Member In-Charge, Electricity Department; Prof. Mohammad Tariq, Provost; Mr. Mohd. Imran; and Mr. Mohd. Danish, Associate NCC Officer (ANO).

NCC cadets, wardens, Mohd. Hammad Khan, Senior Food Monitor, other office bearers, residents and staff of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Hall also participated in the programme.

The speakers emphasised the importance of collective efforts towards environmental conservation and encouraged students to develop a sense of responsibility for creating a greener and more sustainable campus.

The programme concluded with a commitment to continue plantation and environmental awareness activities across the campus.

Students Secure Prestigious Placements at IDFC First Bank and Epam

The University Placement Cell (UPC), Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) proudly announces the remarkable placement achievement of 4 students from B.Tech Computer Engineering being selected by IDFC First Bank at a handsome CTC of 18 lakhs and 22 students from B.Tech. Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and MCA in Epam.

The IDFC First Bank drive concluded yesterday at a pool campus where 4 students got finally selected after an Online Aptitude test and three rounds of interview. The Epam placement drive was conducted earlier this month at the University Placement Cell, Jamia Millia Islamia. The selection process comprised a pen-and-paper test, followed by Group Discussion and Interview rounds. Upon successful completion of the selection process, 22 students were finally selected by Epam. These students will be first offered an internship of six months and on successful completion students will be placed as Software Engineer, with an annual package starting from ₹8.48 LPA.

The University Placement Cell continuously endeavours to provide quality training and placement opportunities to JMI students, enabling them to enhance their professional skills and build successful and rewarding careers with leading organisations.

Director, Prof. Sabah Khan; Prof. Rihan Khan Suri, Professor (TPO); and Assistant Director, Prof. Sarfaraz Masood congratulated the selected students on their outstanding achievement and appreciated their hard work, dedication and commitment throughout the selection process. छात्रों को IDFC फर्स्ट बैंक और Epam में शानदार प्लेसमेंट मिला

 

जामिया मिल्लिया इस्लामिया (जेएमआई) के यूनिवर्सिटी प्लेसमेंट सेल (UPC) को यह बताते हुए गर्व हो रहा है कि B.Tech कंप्यूटर इंजीनियरिंग के 4 छात्रों को IDFC फर्स्ट बैंक में 18 लाख रुपये के शानदार CTC (कॉस्ट टू कंपनी) पैकेज पर चुना गया है। साथ ही, B.Tech कंप्यूटर इंजीनियरिंग, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स एंड कम्युनिकेशन इंजीनियरिंग और MCA के 22 छात्रों का चयन Epam में हुआ है।

 

IDFC फर्स्ट बैंक का प्लेसमेंट ड्राइव कल एक पूल कैंपस में पूरा हुआ, जिसमें ऑनलाइन एप्टीट्यूड टेस्ट और इंटरव्यू के तीन राउंड के बाद 4 छात्रों का अंतिम रूप से चयन किया गया। Epam का प्लेसमेंट ड्राइव इस महीने की शुरुआत में जामिया मिल्लिया इस्लामिया के यूनिवर्सिटी प्लेसमेंट सेल में आयोजित किया गया था। चयन प्रक्रिया में पेन-एंड-पेपर टेस्ट, उसके बाद ग्रुप डिस्कशन और इंटरव्यू राउंड शामिल थे। चयन प्रक्रिया सफलतापूर्वक पूरी होने के बाद, Epam ने 22 छात्रों को चुना। इन छात्रों को पहले छह महीने की इंटर्नशिप दी जाएगी और इसे सफलतापूर्वक पूरा करने पर उन्हें सॉफ्टवेयर इंजीनियर के तौर पर नियुक्त किया जाएगा, जिनका सालाना पैकेज ₹8.48 लाख से शुरू होगा।

 

यूनिवर्सिटी प्लेसमेंट सेल लगातार जेएमआई छात्रों को अच्छी ट्रेनिंग और प्लेसमेंट के मौके देने की कोशिश करता रहता है, ताकि वे अपने प्रोफेशनल स्किल्स को बेहतर बना सकें और प्रमुख संगठनों के साथ सफल और फायदेमंद करियर बना सकें।

Prof. Naima Khatoon Inaugurates New Facilities at AMU’s Dr. Ziauddin Ahmad Dental College and Hospital

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Vice Chancellor Prof. Naima Khatoon inaugurated three newly designated facilities at Dr. Ziauddin Ahmad Dental College and Hospital during her visit to the College, aimed at strengthening the academic, clinical and student-support infrastructure.

The new facilities include the College Canteen and the Postgraduate Clinics of the Departments of Oral Medicine and Radiology and Public Health Dentistry. The postgraduate clinics are expected to enhance clinical training, patient care and academic activities in the two departments, while the canteen will provide students and faculty with healthy refreshments and a comfortable space.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Naima Khatoon said the development of infrastructure at the Dental College reflects the University’s commitment to providing a conducive learning environment and quality facilities to students and faculty. She emphasised the importance of strong academic and clinical infrastructure in advancing education, research and patient care.

Prof. N. D. Gupta, Principal, Dr. Ziauddin Ahmad Dental College & Hospital, thanked the Vice Chancellor and the University administration for their support and appreciated Prof. Khatoon’s consideration towards the Dental College. He said the initiatives would further strengthen the College’s academic and clinical environment. The College has recently been ranked among the top 10 dental colleges in India in the India Today–MDRA 2026 rankings.

                    अलीगढ़ मुस्लिम विश्वविद्यालय की कुलपति प्रो. नइमा खातून ने डॉ. जियाउद्दीन अहमद डेंटल कॉलेज का दौरा कर तीन नई सुविधाओं का उद्घाटन किया। इन सुविधाओं का उद्देश्य कालिज की शैक्षणिक, चिकित्सकीय और छात्र सहायता व्यवस्था को और मजबूत करना है।

नई सुविधाओं में कालिज की कैंटीन तथा ओरल मेडिसिन एवं रेडियोलॉजी और पब्लिक हेल्थ डेंटिस्ट्री विभागों के स्नातकोत्तर क्लीनिक शामिल हैं। इन क्लीनिकों से विद्यार्थियों को बेहतर चिकित्सकीय प्रशिक्षण, रोगियों को बेहतर उपचार तथा विभागों की शैक्षणिक गतिविधियों को बढ़ावा मिलने की उम्मीद है। वहीं, कैंटीन विद्यार्थियों और शिक्षकों को पौष्टिक जलपान तथा आरामदायक स्थान उपलब्ध कराएगी।

इस अवसर पर प्रो. नइमा खातून ने कहा कि डेंटल कॉलेज में सुविधाओं का विकास विद्यार्थियों और शिक्षकों के लिए बेहतर शैक्षणिक वातावरण उपलब्ध कराने की विश्वविद्यालय की प्रतिबद्धता को दर्शाता है। उन्होंने शिक्षा, शोध और रोगी देखभाल को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए मजबूत शैक्षणिक एवं चिकित्सकीय आधारभूत सुविधाओं के महत्व पर जोर दिया।

डॉ. जियाउद्दीन अहमद डेंटल कॉलेज एवं अस्पताल के प्राचार्य प्रो. एन. डी. गुप्ता ने कुलपति और विश्वविद्यालय प्रशासन के सहयोग के लिए आभार व्यक्त किया। उन्होंने कहा कि इन नई सुविधाओं से कालिज का शैक्षणिक और चिकित्सकीय वातावरण और मजबूत होगा। उन्होंने बताया कि इंडिया टुडे-एमडीआरए की 2026 की रैंकिंग में कालिज को देश के शीर्ष 10 दंत चिकित्सा कालिज में स्थान मिला है।

एएमयू में जश्न-ए-मीलादुन्नबी और सीरत प्रदर्शनी का आयोजन, देश की सर्वांगीण प्रगति, शांति और एकता के लिए दुआ

अलीगढ़, 26 अगस्तः पैगंबर-ए-इस्लाम हजरत मुहम्मद साहब के जन्मदिवस के अवसर पर अलीगढ़ मुस्लिम विश्वविद्यालय के कैनेडी हॉल में जश्न-ए-मीलादुन्नबी का भव्य आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम में वक्ताओं ने हजरत मुहम्मद साहब के पवित्र जीवन के विभिन्न पहलुओं पर प्रकाश डालते हुए उनके आदर्शों को अपनाने और समाज को शांति, न्याय तथा आपसी सद्भाव का केंद्र बनाने की अपील की। इस अवसर पर देश की सर्वांगीण प्रगति, शांति, सुरक्षा और एकता के लिए दुआ भी की गई।

मौलाना आजाद पुस्तकालय में मौहम्मद साहब के पवित्र जीवन और उनकी शिक्षाओं से संबंधित पुस्तकों, पांडुलिपियों, दुर्लभ वस्तुओं, कुरआन शरीफ की दुर्लभ और अलंकृत प्रतियों तथा इस्लामी सुलेख के नमूनों पर आधारित दो दिवसीय सीरत प्रदर्शनी भी लगाई गई।

कार्यक्रम में दारुल उलूम देवबंद के हदीस शिक्षक मुफ्ती सलमान बिजनौरी और जामिया हैदरिया, खैराबाद, मऊ, उत्तर प्रदेश के प्रधानाचार्य मौलाना नाजिम अली खैराबादी ने मुख्य वक्ता के रूप में संबोधित किया। कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता एएमयू के सहकुलपति प्रोफेसर मोहम्मद मोहसिन खान ने की।

मुफ्ती सलमान बिजनौरी ने कहा कि मौहम्मद साहब से प्रेम की वास्तविक मांग यह है कि उनके कथन और आचरण को अपने जीवन में उतारा जाए। उन्होंने कहा कि मुसलमानों को मौहम्मद साहब के जीवन की घटनाओं की जानकारी होनी चाहिए, लेकिन दुख की बात है कि आज उनके जीवन से अनजान लोगों की संख्या काफी है। विशेष रूप से युवाओं को मौहम्मद साहब के कथनों और कार्यों से मार्गदर्शन लेना चाहिए। घर और घर के बाहर सामाजिक व्यवहार तथा जीवन के सभी बाहरी और आंतरिक कार्यों में हमें पैगंबर-ए-इस्लाम के जीवन से सीख लेनी चाहिए।

उन्होंने मोहम्मद साहब के जीवन की विभिन्न घटनाओं का उल्लेख करते हुए बताया कि वे अपनी पत्नी, बच्चों, रिश्तेदारों, पड़ोसियों, मेहमानों, मेजबानों, निकट साथियों, सेवकों, दिव्यांगों, बुजुर्गों, मुसीबत में पड़े लोगों, गरीबों, जरूरतमंदों, धनवानों, प्रतिष्ठित लोगों, विद्वानों, विवाद लेकर आने वालों, नए मुसलमानों, ग्रामीण लोगों और यहां तक कि जानवरों के साथ भी किस प्रकार प्रेम, दया और सद्भाव का व्यवहार करते थे।

मुफ्ती सलमान बिजनौरी ने कहा कि यदि मोहम्मद साहब के जीवन को समझना है तो कुरआन शरीफ पढ़ना चाहिए, जिसमें इन बातों को स्पष्ट रूप से बताया गया है। मौहम्मद साहब के कथन और आचरण कुरआन शरीफ की व्याख्या हैं।

CDOE, Jamia Millia Islamia Hosts Special Lecture on 'Global Peace in 2026: Challenges and Prospects

The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), in collaboration with the Nelson Mandela Centre for Peace and Conflict Resolution (NMCPCR), organised a Special Lecture on “Global Peace in 2026: Challenges and Prospects” at the CDOE Conference Hall. The programme was organised under the patronage of Prof. Mazhar Asif, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, JMI, and with the support and guidance of Prof. Md Mahtab Alam Rizvi, Registrar, JMI.

The distinguished speaker, Mr. Brett Savill, Chief Operating Officer, Institute for Economics & Peace (IEP), Sydney, Australia, delivered the lecture. The programme was organised under the leadership of Prof. Aslam Khan, Director, CDOE and Professor, NMCPCR, while Prof. Abuzar Khairi, Director, NMCPCR, welcomed the distinguished speaker and the gathering.

Mr. Savill discussed the changing global peace landscape with reference to the Global Peace Index (GPI), which assesses peace through 23 indicators covering societal safety and security, ongoing conflict and militarisation. He noted that global peacefulness has declined in 15 of the past 18 years and highlighted the changing nature of conflicts, including the growing role of external powers, proxy actors and prolonged conflicts.

While discussing India, Mr. Savill observed that comparisons with smaller and relatively homogeneous countries may not adequately reflect India’s size, diversity and geographical complexities. He suggested that comparisons with larger countries such as China, the United States and Brazil could provide a more meaningful perspective.He also spoke about the increasing use of Artificial Intelligence and drone warfare, particularly in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and drew attention to the growing gap between investment in AI for warfare and AI for peace.

Prof. Rajiv Nayan, NMCPCR, while responding to the lecture, highlighted the need to critically examine the methodology and indicators used to measure peace. Drawing upon Indian intellectual traditions, he emphasised that peace must be accompanied by justice to remain meaningful and sustainable.

In his concluding remarks, Prof. Aslam Khan emphasised that peace cannot be understood merely as the absence of war or through a single indicator. He called for a broader, systems-based approach that recognises the interconnected roles of security, development, governance, technology, justice, culture and human well-being. He also underlined the need to critically engage with global indices while developing perspectives rooted in local contexts and intellectual traditions.

The lecture was followed by an interactive question-and-answer session with faculty members, research scholars and students. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi, Assistant Professor, NMCPCR.

जामिया मिल्लिया इस्लामिया (जेएमआई) के दूरस्थ एवं ऑनलाइन शिक्षा केंद्र (CDOE) ने नेल्सन मंडेला पीस एवं कॉन्फ्लिक्ट रेजोल्यूशन केंद्र (NMCPCR) के सहयोग से CDOE कॉन्फ्रेंस हॉल में "2026 में वैश्विक शांति: चुनौतियां और संभावनाएं" विषय पर एक विशेष व्याख्यान आयोजित किया। यह कार्यक्रम जेएमआई के माननीय कुलपति प्रो. मजहर आसिफ़ के संरक्षण में और जेएमआई के रजिस्ट्रार प्रो. मो. महताब आलम रिज़वी के मार्गदर्शन में आयोजित किया गया था।

 

सिडनी, ऑस्ट्रेलिया स्थित इंस्टीट्यूट फॉर इकोनॉमिक्स एंड पीस (IEP) के मुख्य परिचालन अधिकारी (COO) श्री ब्रेट सैविल ने मुख्य वक्ता के रूप में व्याख्यान दिया। यह कार्यक्रम CDOE के निदेशक और NMCPCR के प्रोफेसर, प्रो. असलम खान के नेतृत्व में आयोजित किया गया, जबकि NMCPCR के निदेशक प्रो. अबूज़र खैरी ने मुख्य वक्ता और उपस्थित लोगों का स्वागत किया।

 

श्री सैविल ने ग्लोबल पीस इंडेक्स (GPI) के संदर्भ में वैश्विक शांति के बदलते परिदृश्य पर चर्चा की। GPI सामाजिक सुरक्षा, चल रहे संघर्ष और सैन्यीकरण जैसे 23 संकेतकों के माध्यम से शांति का आकलन करता है। उन्होंने बताया कि पिछले 18 वर्षों में से 15 वर्षों में वैश्विक शांति में गिरावट आई है और संघर्षों के बदलते स्वरूप पर प्रकाश डाला, जिसमें बाहरी ताकतों, प्रॉक्सी एक्टर्स और लंबे समय तक चलने वाले संघर्षों की बढ़ती भूमिका शामिल है।

भारत के बारे में चर्चा करते हुए, श्री सैविल ने कहा कि छोटे और अपेक्षाकृत होमोजीनियस देशों के साथ तुलना भारत के आकार, विविधता और भौगोलिक जटिलताओं को ठीक से नहीं दर्शा सकती है। उन्होंने सुझाव दिया कि चीन, संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका और ब्राजील जैसे बड़े देशों के साथ तुलना अधिक सार्थक दृष्टिकोण प्रदान कर सकती है। उन्होंने आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस (AI) और ड्रोन युद्ध के बढ़ते उपयोग, विशेष रूप से रूस-यूक्रेन संघर्ष में, के बारे में भी बात की और युद्ध के लिए AI और शांति के लिए AI में निवेश के बीच बढ़ते अंतर की ओर ध्यान आकर्षित किया।

 

NMCPCR के प्रो. राजीव नयन ने व्याख्यान पर प्रतिक्रिया देते हुए शांति को मापने के लिए उपयोग की जाने वाली कार्यप्रणाली और संकेतकों की आलोचनात्मक जांच करने की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया। भारतीय बौद्धिक परंपराओं का ज़िक्र करते हुए, उन्होंने इस बात पर ज़ोर दिया कि शांति को सार्थक और टिकाऊ बनाए रखने के लिए उसके साथ न्याय का होना भी ज़रूरी है।

 

अपनी समापन टिप्पणी में, प्रोफ़ेसर असलम खान ने इस बात पर ज़ोर दिया कि शांति को केवल युद्ध न होने या किसी एक पैमाने के ज़रिए नहीं समझा जा सकता। उन्होंने एक व्यापक, सिस्टम-आधारित नज़रिए की वकालत की, जो सुरक्षा, विकास, शासन, तकनीक, न्याय, संस्कृति और मानवीय कल्याण की आपस में जुड़ी भूमिकाओं को समझे। उन्होंने स्थानीय संदर्भों और बौद्धिक परंपराओं पर आधारित नज़रिए विकसित करते हुए ग्लोबल इंडेक्स का आलोचनात्मक विश्लेषण करने की ज़रूरत पर भी ज़ोर दिया।

 

व्याख्यान के बाद फैकल्टी सदस्यों, रिसर्च स्कॉलर्स और छात्रों के साथ सवाल-जवाब का एक इंटरैक्टिव सत्र हुआ। कार्यक्रम का समापन NMCPCR के असिस्टेंट प्रोफ़ेसर डॉ. सुधांशु त्रिवेदी के धन्यवाद ज्ञापन के साथ हुआ।

مرکز برائے فاصلاتی و آن لائن تعلیم(سی ڈی او ای)جامعہ ملیہ اسلامیہ نے نیلسن منڈیلا سینٹر فار پیس اینڈ کنفلکٹ ریزولیوشن  (این ایم سی پی سی آر) کے اشتراک سے سی ڈی او ای کانفرنس ہال میں ’عالمی امن دوہزار چھبیس:چیلنجز اور امکانات‘ کے موضوع پر ایک خصوصی لیکچر کا اہتمام کیا۔ اس پروگرام کا انعقاد عزت مآب پروفیسر مظہر آصف،شیخ الجامعہ،جامعہ ملیہ اسلامیہ کی سرپرستی اورپروفیسر محمد مہتاب عالم رضوی،مسجل، جامعہ ملیہ اسلامیہ کے تعاون و رہنمائی میں کیا گیا۔

آسٹریلیا کے شہر سڈنی میں قائم 'انسٹی ٹیوٹ فار اکنامکس اینڈ پیس(آئی ای پی) کے چیف آپریٹنگ آفیسر، جناب بریٹ سیول نے یہ اہم خطبہ دیا۔ پروگرام کا انعقاد سی ڈی او ای کے ڈائریکٹر اور این ایم سی پی سی آر میں پروفیسر کے عہدے پر فائز پروفیسر اسلم خان کی قیادت میں کیا گیا، جب کہ سینٹر کے ڈائریکٹر پروفیسر ابوذر خیری نے مہمان مقرر اور شرکا کا خیرمقدم کیا۔

مہمان خطیب جناب سیول نے گلوبل پیس انڈیکس (جی پی آئی) کے حوالے سے بدلتے ہوئے عالمی امن کے منظر نامے پر روشنی ڈالی، جو تیئس اشاریوں کے توسط سے امن کا جائزہ لیتا ہے جن میں سماجی تحفظ اور سلامتی، جاری تنازعات اور عسکریت پسندی شامل ہیں۔ انھوں نے کہا کہ گزشتہ اٹھارہ برسوں میں سے پندرہ میں عالمی امن میں کمی آئی ہے اور اس نے تنازعات کی بدلتی ہوئی نوعیت کو اجاگر کیا ہے، جس میں بیرونی طاقتوں کے بڑھتے کردار، پراکسی ایکٹرز اور طویل تنازعات شامل ہیں۔

ہندوستان پر گفتگو کرتے ہوئے، خطیب نے کہا کہ چھوٹے اور نسبتاً یکساں ممالک کے ساتھ موازنہ ہندوستان کے حجم، تنوع اور جغرافیائی پیچیدگیوں کی مناسب عکاسی نہیں کرسکتا۔ اس سلسلے میں ان کا موقف تھا کہ چین، امریکہ اور برازیل جیسے بڑے ممالک کے ساتھ موازنہ زیادہ معنی خیز تناظر فراہم کر سکتا ہے۔ انھوں نے مصنوعی ذہانت اور ڈرون جنگ کے بڑھتے ہوئے استعمال کے بارے میں بھی بات کی، اور خاص طور پر روس یوکرین تنازعہ میں، اور جنگ کے لیے اے آئی اور امن کے لیے اے آئی میں سرمایہ کاری کے درمیان بڑھتے ہوئے فرق کی طرف توجہ مبذول کروائی۔

لیکچر پر اظہار خیال کرتے ہوئے این ایم سی پی سی آرکے پروفیسر راجیو نایان نے امن کی پیمائش کے لیے استعمال ہونے والے طریقہ کار اور اشاریوں کا تنقیدی جائزہ لینے کی ضرورت پر زور دیا۔ ہندوستانی فکری روایات کا حوالہ دیتے ہوئے انھوں نے اس بات پر زور دیا کہ امن کو بامعنی اور پائے دار بنائے رکھنے کے لیے اس کے ساتھ انصاف کا ہونا بھی ضروری ہے۔

اپنے اختتامی کلمات میں پروفیسر اسلم خان نے اس بات پر زور دیا کہ امن کو محض جنگ کی عدم موجودگی یا کسی ایک اشاریے کے ذریعے نہیں سمجھا جا سکتا۔ انھوں نے ایک ایسے وسیع ترنظام پر مبنی نقطہ نظر کی ضرورت پر زور دیا جو سلامتی، ترقی، طرزِ حکمرانی، ٹیکنالوجی، انصاف، ثقافت اور انسانی بہبود کے باہمی مربوط کرداروں کو تسلیم کرے۔ انھوں نے مقامی سیاق و سباق اور فکری روایات پر مبنی نقطہ نظر تشکیل دیتے ہوئے عالمی اشاریوں کا تنقیدی جائزہ لینے کی اہمیت کو بھی اجاگر کیا۔

لیکچر کے بعد فیکلٹی اراکین، تحقیقی اسکالرس اور طلبہ کے ساتھ سوال و جواب کا مذاکراتی سیشن ہوا۔ پروگرام کا اختتام این ایم سی پی سی آر کے اسسٹنٹ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سدھانشو ترویدی کے اظہارتشکر پر ہوا۔

जेएन मेडिकल कालिज के आरडीए और एआईसीटी इंडिया ने असम में पांच दिवसीय बाढ़ राहत अभियान पूरा किया
अलीगढ़, 25 अगस्तः अलीगढ़ मुस्लिम विश्वविद्यालय के जवाहरलाल नेहरू मेडिकल कॉलेज (जेएनएमसी) के रेजिडेंट डॉक्टर्स एसोसिएशन (आरडीए) ने एआईसीटी इंडिया के सहयोग से असम में पांच दिवसीय बाढ़ राहत एवं चिकित्सा सहायता अभियान सफलतापूर्वक पूरा किया। अभियान के बाद चिकित्सकों की टीम वापस अलीगढ़ लौट आई है।
यह अभियान आरडीए अध्यक्ष डॉ. अख्तर अली और आरडीए चेयर के नेतृत्व में चलाया गया। इसका उद्देश्य बाढ़ से गंभीर रूप से प्रभावित लोगों को समय पर चिकित्सा सुविधा, दवाएं और मानवीय सहायता उपलब्ध कराना था। चिकित्सा दलों ने नेपाली कोठी क्षेत्र में तीन दिनों तक चिकित्सा शिविर लगाकर और घर-घर संपर्क के माध्यम से लोगों को स्वास्थ्य सेवाएं प्रदान कीं।
तीन चिकित्सा दलों ने प्रभावित समुदायों के 2,000 से अधिक मरीजों का उपचार किया। बाढ़ के बाद की कठिन परिस्थितियों के बावजूद दलों ने दिन-रात काम किया। राहत अभियान के दौरान दो लाख से अधिक दवाइयों और चिकित्सा सामग्री का उपयोग एवं वितरण किया गया।
जेएन मेडिकल कालिज की चिकित्सा टीम में डॉ. फुजैल, डॉ. ऐश्वर्या, डॉ. सैफ अली, डॉ. आयुष शर्मा, डॉ. नाजिया परवीन, डॉ. मिर्जा मोहम्मद बैग और अनिका रुम्मान राही शामिल थे। टीम ने प्रभावित परिवारों को चिकित्सकीय परामर्श, उपचार और आवश्यक दवाएं उपलब्ध कराईं।
एआईसीटी इंडिया ने प्रभावित क्षेत्रों तक पहुंचने, चिकित्सा शिविरों के आयोजन, दवाओं की व्यवस्था और अन्य आवश्यक व्यवस्थाओं में सहयोग किया। आरडीए जेएनएमसी और एआईसीटी इंडिया के संयुक्त प्रयासों से बाढ़ के बाद चिकित्सा सुविधाओं से वंचित लोगों तक स्वास्थ्य सेवाएं पहुंचाई जा सकीं।

AMU Organises Milad-un-Nabi Programme and Seerat Exhibition; Prayers Offered for the Country’s All-Round Development

Aligarh, August 26: Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) organised a grand Milad-un-Nabi programme at Kennedy Hall on the occasion of the blessed birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (peace be upon him). The speakers highlighted various aspects of the life and teachings of the Prophet and urged the audience to follow his example and work towards making society a haven of peace, justice and peaceful coexistence. Prayers were also offered for the country’s all-round progress, peace and harmony, and unity.

A two-day Seerat Exhibition has also been organised at the Maulana Azad Library, featuring books, manuscripts and rare artefacts related to the life and teachings of the Prophet, along with rare and illuminated copies of the Holy Quran and specimens of Islamic calligraphy.

The guest speakers were Mufti Salman Bijnori, Hadith teacher at Darul Uloom Deoband, and Maulana Nazim Ali Khairabadi, Principal, Jamia Haidariya, Khairabad, Mau, Uttar Pradesh. AMU Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. M. Mohsin Khan, presided over the programme.

In his address, Mufti Salman Bijnori said that true love for the Prophet requires Muslims to incorporate his words and actions into their lives. He said, “Our youth, in particular, should seek guidance from the words and actions of the Prophet. Whether in family and social life, dealings with others, or in all outward and inward aspects of life, we should learn from the life of the Prophet.”

Referring to various incidents from the life of the Prophet, Mufti Salman Bijnori explained how the Prophet treated and interacted with children, relatives, neighbours, guests and hosts, close companions, servants, persons with disabilities, the elderly, people facing hardships, the poor and needy, the wealthy, people of social standing and distinction, those who approached him with disputes, new Muslims, rural people and even animals.

He told the gathering that anyone wishing to understand the noble character of the Prophet should read the Holy Quran, where everything is clearly explained, adding that the words and actions of the Prophet constitute an interpretation of the Holy Quran.

Addressing the gathering, Maulana Nazim Ali Khairabadi said that the Seerat of the Prophet is not narrated merely for people to listen to it and then allow it to fade from their minds. Rather, it is intended that Muslims imbibe the qualities and characteristics of the Prophet so deeply that, upon seeing them, even a non-Muslim would consider them a true follower of the Prophet. Explaining the root word of Seerat, he said that it encompasses both actions and words. He narrated various incidents from the life of the Prophet and urged the audience to incorporate his noble character into their own lives. He said that the Seerat of the Prophet has been described in the Holy Quran. “Keep reading the Holy Quran, and you will continue to discover the noble character of the Prophet,” he added.

In his presidential address, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. M. Mohsin Khan said that the Holy Prophet was sent as a mercy to the entire world. His life has many dimensions, and each one offers guidance for us. Whether the problems concern the family or the wider world, the solutions to many of the challenges facing humanity can be found in the life of the Prophet. Despite all the scientific advancements, the world continues to face war, unrest and insecurity. There is oppression, injustice and inequality. The Seerat of the Prophet provides guidance for addressing all these problems.

Prof. Mohsin Khan said that the Prophet treated everyone with kindness and compassion, irrespective of whether they were Muslims or non-Muslims. Peaceful coexistence, mercy and compassion were integral parts of his life. Whether it was the establishment of a collective society comprising different groups in Madinah, the declaration of a general amnesty at the time of the Conquest of Makkah, or his special instructions regarding the dignified treatment of women, the same principles are evident in all these instances. “We must certainly implement these principles in our own lives,” he added.

Prof. Mohsin Khan made a special appeal to young people who spend considerable time on mobile phones to devote at least half an hour to reading the Seerat of the Prophet. He said that this would acquaint them with many lesser-known facts and prove beneficial in their practical lives.

AMU Registrar, Prof. Mohammad Aasim Zafar, who was the Convener of the programme, proposed the vote of thanks.

Prayers were offered for development and growth in the country, following which the programme concluded.

Prof. Mohammad Habibullah Qasmi, Dean, Faculty of Theology, conducted the proceedings.

Prior to the Milad-un-Nabi programme at Kennedy Hall, the Seerat Exhibition was inaugurated at the Maulana Azad Library by Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. M. Mohsin Khan in the presence of Librarian Prof. Nishat Fatima and other senior university functionaries.

The Seerat Exhibition will remain open to the public until 5 pm on August 26, and from 9 am to 4:30 pm on August 27.

A calligraphy exhibition was also organised by the K. A. Nizami Centre for Qur’anic Studies in the foyer of Kennedy Hall. The exhibition was inaugurated by the Pro Vice Chancellor.
