CPRS, JMI organizes Free Physiotherapy Camp to commemorate World Physiotherapy Day
The Centre for Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Sciences (CPRS), Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) organised a Free Physiotherapy Camp on 8th September, 2024, at Hope Project Charitable Trust Basti Hazrat Nizamuddin, New Delhi. The Camp was organized under the supervision of Prof. Zubia Veqar and Faculty In-charges Dr. Moazzam Hussain Khan & Dr. Aqsa Mujaddadi. This initiative aimed to bridge the gap in healthcare by offering free professional physiotherapy to the underprivileged community. An exemplary team of faculties and clinical physiotherapists embraced the event. PhD scholars, MPT and BPT students served as volunteers. Through a dedicated team of physiotherapists and volunteers, the camp provided a range of treatments and consultations to help manage and alleviate various musculoskeletal and mobility issues.
By focusing on the needs of those less fortunate, the camp not only offered immediate relief but also raised awareness about the importance of physiotherapy in maintaining overall well- being. This camp demonstrated a strong commitment to serve the underprivileged section of the society reinforcing the spirit of community service and health equity. A total of 118 patients attended the physiotherapy camp and received much-needed care and guidance with a holistic approach. This initiative underscores the high demand for physiotherapy services in the local community.
