Bhikampur Gate: :--A.M.U Aligarh

 This apparently 18th century Gate originally belonged to the Mughal Fort at Agra.

When the British authorities in 1833 auctioned off valuable material from the fort,

it was purchased by Daud Khan , son of Baz Khan , who put it up on his family Estate

at Bhikampur in 1835. Abdus Saboor Khan Sherwani a descendant of Daud Khan presented it to the University in 1961, and it was installed at the present site in 1963.
