Dr. Zakir Husain Library, Jamia Millia Islamia(JMI) organised an Extension Lecture on the topic, “How to become a Smart Librarian” for the Students of Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS) and Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) courses run by Dr. Zakir Husain Library,JMI.
Prof. Naushad Ali P.M. from the Department of Library & Information Science, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh delivered the extension lecture in hybrid mode. The topic was taken up extensively and well attended by the students and staff members of the library. In his lecture, Dr. Ali highlighted 5 qualities of a Smart Librarian, viz. Learn, Innovate, Collaborate, Contribute, and Transform, which is pertinent to the present-day challenges before Librarians to survive in this digital era.
Dr. Sufian Ahmad, Offtng. University Librarian, JMI welcomed the Resource Person and informed that this lecture is the 5th and the last lecture under the ‘Extension Lecture Series’ of the current academic year. The lecture concluded with very good deliberations and a question-answer session.
