AMU Vice-Chancellor Unveils MSW Placement Brochure for 2024–26 Batch

ALIGARH, January 9: The Vice-Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Prof. Naima Khatoon, along with Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mohd Mohsin Khan, unveiled the Placement Brochure for Master of Social Work (MSW) IV Semester students of the 2024–26 batch at a function held at the Vice-Chancellor’s Secretariat.

The brochure highlights the academic training and fieldwork exposure of the outgoing batch and formally marks the beginning of the placement process. Addressing the gathering, Prof. Naima Khatoon congratulated the Department of Social Work and the students, stating that the MSW programme at AMU continues to produce socially committed professionals equipped to meet contemporary challenges.

Prof. Mohd Mohsin Khan noted that the dynamically updated curriculum enables graduates to effectively align professional competence with social responsibility.

Dean, Faculty of Social Science and Chairperson, Department of Social Work, Prof. Ikram Hussain briefed about the specialisations offered to the 2024–26 batch, including Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations and Community Development, and expressed confidence in the students’ role as change agents.

Coordinator, Training and Placement Cell, Dr. Mohammad Tahir highlighted the extensive field training undertaken by students and the proactive engagement of the Placement Cell with national and international organisations.

The event was attended by faculty members Dr. Mohd Arif Khan, Dr Andleeb, Dr Mohd Uzair and Dr Sameera Khanam, along with volunteers of the Training and Placement Cell of the Department of Social Work.
