SOCIAL EDUCATIONAL WELFARE ASSOCIATION (SEWA) TRUST
SCHOLORSHIP DISTRIBUTION PROGRAME
Sir Syed Bachchon ka Ghar (Orphanage) Ilyaspur-Mehrawal, Aligarh, UP, India “You will not attain righteousness until you spend in charity of the things you love (in the way of Allah)” - Al-Quran, 3:92 Assalamu Alaikum, We pray that you and your family are in the best of health and Iman. Sir Syed Bachchon ka Ghar, under the supervision of SEWA Trust, Aligarh, is continuing its mission to provide a safe, caring, and educational environment for orphaned and underprivileged children. Our goal is to give these children not only shelter, but also quality education, discipline, healthcare, and the opportunity to become confident and self-reliant human beings. At present, 40 orphaned and underprivileged students are studying under our care. They are receiving Quran and Hadith education along with modern education based on the AMU syllabus pattern. We provide them with free food, clothing, books, and other necessary support, including health, hygiene, sports, debate practice, religious speech training, and inter-school competition activities. With the help of Allah and the generosity of donors, we have made meaningful progress during the past year. A total of 774 square gaz of land is now available at Ilyaspur-Mehrawal, Aligarh for the establishment of the orphanage (approximately 6,970 square feet). This includes 50 square gaz of land purchased on 1 July 2025 for Rs. 2,90,000 (USD 3,141) and an additional 724 square gaz plot acquired for the project. SEWA Trust has already completed one room of 50 gaz (450 square feet), one washroom, and a submersible water facility. The room is being painted and furnished, marking an important first step toward building a permanent home for orphaned and needy children. During the past year, SEWA Trust also continued its support for educational scholarships and relief work. In 2025, scholarships were distributed to 40 orphaned and underprivileged students. Support of Rs. 60,000 (USD 650) was provided for January to June 2025. A further Rs. 1,05,000 (USD 1,137) was distributed for July to December 2025. In addition to education, SEWA Trust continued community welfare efforts.
During Ramadan last year, 50 food kits costing Rs. 1,00,000 (USD 1,083) were distributed to widows and needy beneficiaries. Iftar support for orphans and widows was also provided, amounting to Rs. 17,000 (USD 184). These efforts reflect our commitment not only to constructing buildings, but to serving vulnerable children and families with dignity, compassion, and hope. However, much more remains to be done. We urgently need your support to continue construction and expand the facilities. Our immediate requirement is approximately INR 10 lakh (USD 10,834) for the next phase of development, which includes 3 large rooms with attached bathroom and toilet facilities, space for 30 students per room, 50 double-decker beds with mattresses, bed sheets, towels, and clothing, as well as an office, kitchen, gym, sports kits, and storage facilities. Our long-term vision is to accommodate 100 orphans and poor students and provide them with a complete environment for education, residence, spiritual growth, and personal development.
Your Zakat, sadaqah and donations can help us:
● Build and complete the orphanage ● Support orphan children with food, clothing, and shelter ● Provide books, school fees, and educational materials ● Maintain health, hygiene, and water facilities ● Distribute Ramadan food kits to widows and needy families ● Support iftar and welfare activities for the poor
This is more than a building project. It is an investment in human lives. It is an
opportunity to protect children from helplessness, poverty, and neglect, and to help
them grow into educated and dignified members of society.
We humbly request you to donate generously and share this appeal with your family,
friends, and community.
Every contribution, big or small, will bring us closer to
completing this noble work.
