ALVIDA MOHSINA KIDWAI SAHIBA
Mrs Mohsina Kidwai (1st Jan 1932 - 8th Apr 2026), a stalwart of Indian politics and former Union Minister, has left us. Born in Barabanki and related to veteran Mr Rafi Ahmad Kidwai (Alig), she rose through the ranks of the party to become one of the most respected women in Indian politics. A proud Aligarh Muslim University alumna, she rose from the Women's College to the corridors of power, inspiring generations with her trailblazing leadership. Elected to the 6th, 7th and 8th Lok Sabha from Meerut, she also served in the Rajya Sabha from Chhattisgarh. As Union Minister under Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi, she held key portfolios, navigating the party through turbulent times. Her legacy is a testament to resilience, leadership, and public service.
