Entrepreneurship Training Programme for Minority Women Launched at AMU

ALIGARH, April 9: A training programme titled “Leadership and Basic Entrepreneurship Development” has been launched at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) under the Pradhan Mantri Virasat Ka Samvardhan (PM VIKAS) Scheme of the Ministry of Minority Affairs.

The programme, currently being conducted at ABK Union Girls School, AMU, is designed exclusively for women from minority communities, aiming to promote entrepreneurship, leadership and self-reliance.

In the first phase, 241 participants have enrolled and commenced training. The initiative seeks to enhance skills, foster economic empowerment and encourage inclusive development among women.

The programme is being coordinated by Prof. Asiya Chaudhary, Nodal Officer, under the patronage of Vice Chancellor Prof. Naima Khatoon and Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Mohd Mohsin Khan.

The next round of training is scheduled to begin in the first week of May, with additional batches planned to expand outreach and impact.
