ALIGARH, November 26: The 1 UP Engineers Company, NCC at Aligarh Muslim University organised a series of activities throughout November, engaging cadets from Z.H. College of Engineering and Technology and University Polytechnic. The programmes were designed to strengthen discipline, leadership and patriotic values among the participating cadets.

A parasailing camp formed one of the major highlights, where cadets showcased their skills and experienced an exhilarating bird’s-eye view of Aligarh. A special drone-enabled flower shower added enthusiasm to the event. Brig Rajesh Gupta, Group Commander, NCC, appreciated the cadets’ efforts and said such activities significantly contribute to motivation and confidence-building.

As part of the month-long series, cadets also took part in a commemoration programme highlighting the historical, cultural and patriotic significance of Vande Mataram on the occasion of 150 years of its composition. The observance underlined its role in India’s freedom movement and continued relevance in nation-building.

The unit also marked NCC Day with a programme that reflected on the organisation’s enduring legacy. Col D. Dadhwal, Officer Commanding, 1 UP Engr Coy NCC, addressed the cadets and emphasised the importance of NCC training in shaping leadership qualities, character and a strong sense of national responsibility. He encouraged cadets to uphold the NCC motto, “Unity and Discipline,” and contribute meaningfully to the nation.

Assistant Professors Mohd Danish (University Polytechnic) and Mohd Imran (ZHCET), who serve as Caretaking Officers of the Company, played a key role in organising the events and motivating cadets to maintain discipline, teamwork and commitment.
