AMU’s Training and Placement Office Holds ‘Career Compass 2026’ for Students

ALIGARH, September 17: The Training and Placement Office (General), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), organised ‘Career Compass 2026’, a career guidance and mentorship programme aimed at helping students understand changing employment requirements and prepare more effectively for placements and professional careers.

Prof. Subuhi Khan, Department of Mathematics and Deputy Dean, Students’ Welfare, stressed the need for a strong academic foundation, practical exposure and professional values such as integrity, punctuality and empathy. Mr. Ibrahim Ahmad, Managing Director, Infloglen (India), encouraged students to develop initiative, creativity and industry-relevant skills. Mr. Saad Hameed, Training and Placement Officer (General), welcomed the guests and students and interacted with them on career planning. Dr.Suhaila Parveen, Assistant TPO, briefed them on the TPO’s activities, initiatives and placement achievements.

Dr. Mohammad Reyazuddin, Associate Professor and Chairperson, Department of Psychiatry, conducted a session on mental well-being, focusing on healthy routines, work-life balance, realistic goals and adaptability. Dr. Mohsin Alvi, Founder and CEO, Symbian Health, joined through a video message and highlighted the importance of career guidance and mental-health awareness. The Career Club was also launched under TPO (General), followed by an interactive session on career-related queries.

Dr. Muzammil Mushtaq delivered the concluding address and vote of thanks, urging students to remain focused on their professional goals and make use of TPO services. He also thanked the student coordinators and volunteersfor their contribution to the programme, which was conducted by Areeba, an MBA student and Student Coordinator, TPO.
