AMU to Organise ‘March for Hope and Suicide Prevention’ on World Suicide Prevention Day on September 10
ALIGARH, September 9: The Department of Psychology, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), in collaboration with the Students’ Counselling Centre, will organise a ‘March for Hope and Suicide Prevention’ on September 10 to mark World Suicide Prevention Day.The march will begin from the Arts Faculty at 10 a.m. and culminate at the Bab-e-Syed Gate.
Prof. Shah Alam, Chairman, Department of Psychology, said the march aims to raise awareness about suicide prevention, promote hope and emotional well-being, and encourage a culture of compassion, support and help-seeking among members of the University community.
Department of Psychiatry in collobration with Department of Physiology, JN Medical College is also observing "World Suicide Prevention Day" on 10 Sep from 1 pm at LT-1, JNMC, said Dr. Mohammed Reyazuddin, Chairman, Dept of Psychiatry.
