MU Professor Conferred Hakim Ajmal Khan Award on World Unani


               Prof. Mohd Anwar Conferred Hakim Ajmal Khan Award on World Unani Day 

ALIGARH, February 14: Prof. Mohd Anwar of the Department of Ilaj Bit Tadbeer, Faculty of Unani Medicine, Aligarh Muslim University, was conferred the prestigious Hakim Ajmal Khan Award on the occasion of World Unani Day at Lucknow.

The award was presented during a function organised by the All India Unani Scholars Association at Hotel Reagent, Nirala Nagar, Lucknow. The event was attended by eminent physicians, academicians, and scholars associated with the promotion of the Unani system of medicine.

Prof. Anwar was honoured in recognition of his longstanding contributions to Unani education, research, academic development, and mentorship at the national level. He has authored three books, published over 100 research papers in reputed national and international journals, and supervised 30 M.D. theses in the field.

On the occasion, Prof. Anwar delivered a special invited lecture on “Holistic Approach in the Management of Rheumatoid Arthritis in Unani Medicine: A Scientific Appraisal.” He underscored the importance of early diagnosis and comprehensive management rooted in the fundamental principles of Unani medicine, highlighting its continued relevance in contemporary healthcare.
