Prof Mohammad Naved Khan Appointed Proctor of AMU

ALIGARH, February 3: Prof Mohammad Naved Khan of the Department of Business Administration, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), has been appointed Proctor of the University for a period of two years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, with effect from February 3, 2026.

Prof Khan is a senior academician with over 22 years of postgraduate teaching and research experience. He holds a BTech in Electrical Engineering, an MBA and a PhD, and has been associated with AMU since 1999. Over the years, he has held several important academic and administrative responsibilities, including Deputy Proctor, Coordinator (Foreign and NRI Admissions), and Nodal Officer for the Study in India Initiative of the Ministry of Education. He is currently serving as Dean, Faculty of Management Studies and Research and Coordinator of the Cultural Education Centre. He is also a UGC Adjunct Faculty member at the Central University of Jammu.

An accomplished researcher, Prof Khan has published more than 114 research papers in reputed national and international journals, contributed 26 chapters in edited volumes, and successfully supervised 30 PhD scholars. He has also led a major ICSSR-sponsored research project on smartphone dependency and consumer behaviour, and has played a key role in curriculum development, NIRF-related initiatives and institutional planning at AMU.

Prof Khan is a recipient of several prestigious academic honours, including the All-India P. D. Agarwal–TCI Award for Doctoral Research in Management from IIM Bangalore and multiple Emerald Literati Awards for outstanding research contributions.
