MU Faculty Member Conducts Advanced Workshop on Modern Anaesthesia Techniques

ALIGARH, May 19: Dr. Manazir Athar, Assistant Professor, Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University, served as the Lead Faculty and Workshop Coordinator for an advanced hands-on workshop on modern anaesthesia techniques organised during the 1st Central Zone, 2nd UP YUVAISACON in conjunction with the 14th UK ISACON held at Bhimtal, Uttarakhand, under the aegis of ISA Bareilly. He was assisted by co-faculty members Dr. Ambar Khan and Dr. Kulsum Alam along with experts from various medical institutions across the country.

The workshop focused on computer-controlled targeted delivery of anaesthesia drugs to ensure precise dosing and enhanced patient safety during surgical procedures. It also highlighted environmentally responsible anaesthesia practices aimed at reducing waste and lowering the carbon footprint in operation theatres.

Dr.Manazir Athar said that the workshop introduced young anaesthesiologists to modern and sustainable anaesthesia practices through practical training and added that such technologies represent an important step towards intelligent and automated anaesthesia systems.

Chairman of the Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care, Prof. Hammad Usmani, congratulated the team and said that such initiatives play a significant role in promoting patient-friendly and environmentally responsible anaesthesia practices.
