Women’s College, AMU Honours Winners of Cultural and Creative Competitions

ALIGARH, May 6: The Cultural Club and Music Club of Women’s College, Aligarh Muslim University, organised a felicitation ceremony to honour winners of various competitions held between October and November 2025.

The programme was attended by Principal Prof Masud Anwar Alavi, Prof Shabana Hameed, In-charge, Music Club, Prof Roomana N. Siddiqui, Dr Waseem Mushtaq, Dr Humaira M. Afridi, Dr Farah Saif Abbidin, Dr Bushra Naseem, Dr Hina F. Moinee, Dr Nuzhat Parveen and Dr Afsana Parveen.

The competitions included calligraphy organised during Sir Syed Day Week, an art competition on the theme “Transform Trash into Art” held during Gandhi Jayanti and Swachhta Pakhwada, as well as skit, classical dance, Tarana and Jashn-e-Sur competitions conducted on the occasion of College Day 2025.

Addressing the gathering, Prof Masud Anwar Alavi appreciated the efforts of the clubs in promoting creativity and student engagement through extracurricular activities. He highlighted the importance of such platforms in the overall development of students’ personalities.

More than 200 students attended the event, which concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Humaira M. Afridi.
