AMU Law Student Presents Paper at International Conference on Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

ALIGARH, May 5: Arman Nasir, a first-year BALLB student of the Faculty of Law, Aligarh Muslim University, presented a research paper at the International Conference on Dispute Resolution and Arbitration (2026), organised by the ADR Board of HILSR, Jamia Hamdard, in collaboration with Accords International and the Institutional & Industrial Dispute Resolution Centre (IIDRC).

His paper, titled “Litigating the Climate Across Borders: Reimagining Environmental Justice for Local Communities Through International ADR,” examined the limitations of existing legal mechanisms in addressing transboundary climate disputes. It highlighted issues of accessibility, enforcement and representation of affected communities in global climate governance.

The study explored the potential of international alternative dispute resolution (ADR) frameworks as tools for addressing climate-related conflicts and proposed reforms aimed at strengthening cross-border dispute resolution.
