AMU Chemistry Student Excels in National Programme, Selected for Summer Research at HBCSE-TIFR
Aligarh, August 11: Demonstrating the growing research aptitude and academic potential of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) students, Rehan Ansari, a third-year B.Sc. (Hons.) Chemistry student of the Department of Chemistry, has been selected for a prestigious summer research project at the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE), TIFR, Mumbai. Rehan was selected for the National Initiative on Undergraduate Sciences (NIUS) Chemistry Camp, held at HBCSE. The intensive programme brought together talented undergraduate students from across the country and provided exposure to advanced theoretical concepts, laboratory techniques and contemporary approaches to scientific learning. His performance at the camp earned him an opportunity to undertake a summer research project at HBCSE-TIFR. Working under the mentorship of HBCSE faculty, he successfully completed the project titled “Developing Experiments to Build Conceptual Understanding of Voltammetrythe recent summer vacation.His achievement is a significant recognition of the academic capabilities and research orientation of AMU’s undergraduate students. It also highlights the University’s commitment to nurturing young scientific talent.
