AMU Abdullah School Celebrates National Space Day with Focus on India’s Space Achievements

ALIGARH, August 24: Abdullah School, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), celebrated National Space Day with enthusiasm, highlighting India’s achievements in space science and technology. The theme of National Space Day 2026 was “Towards Viksit Bharat: Innovating, Collaborating and Aspiring to Global Space Leadership.”

Students delivered speeches in English, Hindi and Urdu highlighting India’s achievements in space science, particularly the successful Chandrayaan-3 mission and the contribution of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

A Poster Making Competition was organised for students of Classes III to V on the themes “Chandrayaan – India’s Pride in Space” and “Life of an Astronaut”. The students participated enthusiastically and showcased their creativity and interest in space science. The activity was coordinated with the support of Ms. Arshia Aftab, Ms. Ambeen Zaki and the respective class teachers.

Ms. Umra Zaheer, Superintendent, Abdullah School, motivated the students to dream big, develop a clear vision for their future and aspire to become scientists and innovators contributing to the progress of the nation.
