AMU, JMI Organise E-Twinning Programme on Contemporary Education
ALIGARH, August 8: The Department of Education, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), in collaboration with the Department of Educational Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), New Delhi, organised a nine-day online E-Twinning Programme to promote academic collaboration and exchange of ideas on contemporary issues in education, research and pedagogy.
The programme brought together academicians, faculty members, research scholars and students from both institutions and covered educational research, inclusive education, policy initiatives, Outcome-Based Education, academic publishing, digital communication, mental well-being and classroom practices.
Prof. Aejaz Masih, Head, Department of Educational Studies, JMI, spoke on educational research and problem formulation, while Prof. Arshad Ikram Ahmad discussed equity and inclusion in higher education. Prof. Nakhat Nasreen, Chairperson, Department of Education, AMU, highlighted strategies for strengthening inclusive practices in modern classrooms.
Other sessions focused on Early Childhood Care and Education, Outcome-Based Education, research publication, social media and communication, mental health and well-being, and evidence-based classroom management. The sessions were conducted by Dr.Zeba Tabassum, Prof. Sajid Jamal, Dr. Sameer Babu M, Dr. Noora Abdul Kader, Prof. Mehnaz Ansari and Dr. Anjum Ahmed.
Participants actively engaged with the resource persons through discussions and question-answer sessions. The programme concluded with both institutions reaffirming their commitment to academic collaboration, professional development and the exchange of innovative educational practices.
