AMU Alumnus Selected for Prestigious FAIMER Fellowship



Dr. Hassan completed his Master's in Clinical Psychology and Ph.D. in Transpersonal Psychology from AMU in 2020.

AMU Alumnus Selected for Prestigious FAIMER Fellowship

ALIGARH, August 10: Dr. Faisal Hassan, Assistant Professor and Programme Coordinator, Clinical Psychology, Manipal Tata Medical College, Jamshedpur, and alumnus of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), has been selected as a Fellow of the MAHE FAIMER International Institute for Leadership in Interprofessional Education (M-FIILIPE) 2026.

The prestigious two-year fellowship combines residential sessions at Manipal with online mentoring and project-based learning, focusing on leadership and interprofessional education in healthcare. Fellows undertake interprofessional projects, present their findings and mentor junior fellows.

Dr. Hassan will attend the fellowship at the MAHE-FAIMER Institute in Manipal and subsequently in Philadelphia, USA. He has earlier received a research award from the World Health Organization for his study on the psychosocial impact of mental disorders in India and has presented his research at national and international forums.

An alumnus of AMU, Dr. Hassan completed his Master's in Clinical Psychology and Ph.D. in Transpersonal Psychology from AMU in 2020.

Dr. Hassan credited his achievements to the support of his family and mentors at AMU.
