AMU Vice Chancellor Releases Psychology Department’s ‘DePsyPher’ and Mental Health Booklet
ALIGARH, August 13: Aligarh Muslim University Vice Chancellor Prof. Naima Khatoon, along with Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. M. Mohsin Khan and Registrar Prof. Aasim Zafar, formally released the 2025-26 edition of ‘DePsyPher’, the annual magazine of the Department of Psychology, AMU, and a Mental Health Booklet brought out by the department.
Prof. Shah Alam, Chairperson of the department, presented the publications to the dignitaries along with members of the editorial team of ‘DePsyPher’ and the Psychological Society, AMU. The dignitaries appreciated the efforts of the department and students in bringing out the publications.
Prof. Naima Khatoon appreciated the commitment of the editorial team in making the publications possible and emphasised the usefulness of the Mental Health Booklet. She urged that the booklet be distributed among different departments of the University to promote greater awareness and understanding of mental health.
‘DePsyPher’ reflects the literary and creative talents of AMU students, providing them a platform to explore the interface between psychology and their perceptions and experiences of the world.
The Mental Health Booklet, authored by Prof. Shah Alam and Dr. Sarah Javed, Department of Psychology, and translated into Hindi by Dr. Shabnam Alam, presents mental health-related issues in a learner-friendly manner and is intended to serve as an accessible guide for students and other readers.
