Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Conducted A Dental Check-Up Camp At MCD School, Abul Fazal Enclave, Jamia Nagar on 17^th September 2025

 

A dental check-up and referral camp was organized by Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia at MCD school, Abul Fazal enclave, Jamia Nagar on 17^th September 2025. The objective of the camp was to promote oral health awareness among children, identify common dental problems at an early stage and provide referral services. A total of 220 students were screened in the camp. Each student underwent a thorough oral examination conducted by a team of dental professionals from the Faculty of Dentistry. In addition to the clinical check-up, the children were given guidance on maintaining proper oral hygiene, including demonstrations of correct brushing techniques. Awareness talks were delivered to highlight the importance of healthy dietary practices and routine dental care.

 

The camp generated a positive response from both students and teachers. Many expressed appreciation for the initiative and requested that such camps be conducted regularly. The activity not only addressed immediate dental concerns but also sensitized children to the importance of preventive oral health practices.

 

The Faculty of Dentistry has been organizing such dental check-up camps for school children. These camps emphasize the value of early detection of oral diseases, provide regular dental health education, and help in timely intervention in improving the oral health of children. All these activities ensure a lasting impact and help build healthier oral health habits among school-going children.
