\AMU, STS School Organizes Special Talk on Drug-Free Living under NashaMukt Bharat Abhiyan
ALIGARH, September 19: A special awareness programme under the NashaMukt Bharat Abhiyan was organized at STS School (Minto Circle), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) on the theme “Healthy Mind, Healthy Life: Stay Away from Drugs.”
The resource person, Dr. Mohammad Salman Shah, Assistant Professor, Department of Community Medicine, delivered an engaging presentation on the harmful effects of drug abuse on physical and mental health. He also shared practical prevention and coping strategies, urging students to make informed choices and contribute towards building a drug-free society.
Earlier, welcoming the guest speaker, Principal Mr. Faisal Nafis stressed the importance of nurturing healthy lifestyles and highlighted the role of awareness and self-control in ensuring a drug-free future.
The session concluded with the message that a healthy mind is the foundation of a healthy life, and saying no to drugs is the first step towards success and happiness. The programme was organized under the guidance of Dr. Md Alamgir (Vice Principal) and Mr. Nooruzzama Arshad, and was attended by teachers, staff and students. The proceedings were conducted by Mrs. Ghazala Tanvir.
