JMI's Taekwando players shine at IIT Roorkee's Annual Sports Festival, SANGRAM

The Taekwondo athletes representing Jamia Millia Islamia showcased exceptional skill during the SANGRAM – Annual Sports Fest, which took place at IIT Roorkee from September 19th to 21st, 2025. The players who earned accolades for the university are;

 

1)     Mubashshir Rizvi, a second-year MCA student (University Taekwondo Player), secured a Silver Medal.

 

2)     Hasan Abdullah Khan, a second-year BA (Hons.) Economics student (University Taekwondo Player), earned a Silver Medal.

 

3)     Samreen Haque, a first-year BA (Hons.) Psychology student (University Taekwondo Player), achieved a Bronze Medal.

 

4)     Namra Khan, a first-year BA (Hons.) Spanish & Latin American Studies student (University Taekwondo Player), received a Bronze Medal.

Prof. Mazhar Asif, the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia, extended his congratulations to the players and commended their dedication in attaining these outstanding accomplishments.

 

Prof. Md. Mahtab Alam Rizvi, the Registrar of Jamia Millia Islamia, offered his support, commendation and best wishes for their forthcoming tournaments".

Prof. Nafis Ahmad, Honorary Director (Games & Sports), Jamia Millia Islamia, expressed gratitude to the players for bringing this honor to the University and encouraged them to continue making the institution proud in the future through their dedication and earnest efforts.
