Collage AMU Geology Students Excel in CSIR-UGC NET 2025
ALIGARH, September 9: The Department of Geology, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), has announced the remarkable success of its students in the prestigious Joint CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). This year, eight students from the department have qualified, with four securing Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and four qualifying in the NET category.
Among the JRF achievers, Hadiyah secured an All India Rank (AIR) of 37, Sharjeel Iqbal achieved AIR 48, Aamir Sayeed obtained AIR 54, and Mohd Mueen earned AIR 55. In the NET category, Shoaib Khan stood out with AIR 12, while Darab Jameel, Afreen Nisha, and Mumtaj Khan secured AIR 77, 85, and 86, respectively.
Prof. Rashid Umar, Chairperson, Department of Geology, congratulated the successful candidates, describing their success as a reflection of the dedication, hard work, and perseverance of the students, along with the unwavering commitment of the faculty in fostering a culture of academic excellence and research.
