Employee Recognition and Appreciation by AMU Vice Chancellor

Aligarh, September 9: In a gesture to honour dedication and commitment, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Vice Chancellor, Prof. Naima Khatoon, felicitated eight staff members for their outstanding contribution to the university community. The recognition ceremony, held at the Vice Chancellor’s office, highlighted the spirit of service, sincerity, and excellence displayed by these employees in their daily work.

 

Five sanitation staff from the University Health Office; Mr. Vijender, Mr. Deepak Kumar, Mr. Mohd. Tanjeev, Ms. Shivani (Trainee), and Mr. Nikhil Kumar and three security guards from the Proctor’s Office; Mr. Shadab Khan, Mr. Jeeshan, and Ms. Ummeed Fatima were honoured for their dedication and impactful service.

 

Commending them, Prof. Khatoon said, “These performers are spirited souls, and I am confident they will inspire others to become true KarmYogis. The university proudly recognizes the worth of such selfless, committed, and dutiful contributors whose efforts strengthen AMU’s culture of service and responsibility.”

 

She emphasized that an educational campus must also set an example of environmental consistency, sustainability, cleanliness, and security, which are only possible through the dedicated work of such employees.

 

Speaking on the occasion, AMU Registrar, Mr. Mohammad Imran (IPS), lauded the honourees, remarking, “Your remarkable performance at work is an inspiration to all. We are incredibly impressed and proud of your contributions. Keep up the great work.”

 

Also present were AMU Proctor, Prof. Mohd. Wasim Ali, Prof. Vibha Sharma (Member-in-Charge, Public Relations Office), and Dr. Ali Jafar Abedi (University Health Officer), who joined in appreciating the efforts of the staff.

 

The felicitation not only recognized the silent yet significant contribution of these individuals but also set a motivational example, strengthening AMU’s commitment to valuing and honouring its employees as partners in building a clean, safe, and vibrant campus.
