AMU Faculty Member Delivers Keynote Address Online at Global Food Science Congress
ALIGARH, July 6:Dr. Mariyam Fatima, Assistant Professor, Department of Home Science, Aligarh Muslim University, delivered a keynote address at the 14th Global Congress on Food Science & Nutrition, organized in virtual mode by Conference Mind (The Knowledge Exchange).
Her keynote lecture, titled "Eco-Conscious Families and Sustainable Nutrition: Shaping the Future of Children in India," highlighted the importance of eco-conscious parenting, sustainable nutrition, and family-centred interventions in promoting healthy lifestyles and the holistic development of children.
Drawing on contemporary research, Dr. Mariyam emphasized the need to integrate sustainable practices into everyday family life through responsible food choices, reduction of food waste, greater use of locally available nutritious foods, and the cultivation of lifelong healthy habits among children. She also underlined the close relationship between sustainable nutrition, environmental stewardship, and child development.
The international congress brought together researchers, academicians, and experts from across the world to deliberate on emerging issues in food science and nutrition.
