एएमयू ने जुलाई-दिसंबर 2026 सत्र के लिए स्वयं मंच पर 48 ऑनलाइन पाठ्यक्रम शुरू किए
अलीगढ़, 28 जुलाईः गुणवत्तापूर्ण उच्च शिक्षा को डिजिटल माध्यम से अधिक से अधिक लोगों तक पहुंचाने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम उठाते हुए अलीगढ़ मुस्लिम विश्वविद्यालय ने जुलाई-दिसंबर 2026 सत्र के लिए भारत सरकार के स्वयं मंच पर 48 मुक्त ऑनलाइन पाठ्यक्रम शुरू किए हैं। विश्वविद्यालय के अनुभवी शिक्षकों द्वारा तैयार किए गए ये पाठ्यक्रम देशभर के विद्यार्थियों और अन्य इच्छुक शिक्षार्थियों के लिए निःशुल्क उपलब्ध हैं। इन पाठ्यक्रमों में प्रवेश प्रक्रिया स्वयं पोर्टल पर शुरू हो चुकी है।यह कार्यक्रम डिजिटल भारत अभियान और राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति-2020 के उद्देश्यों के तहत आरंभ किया गया है, जिसमें बहुविषयक शिक्षा, शैक्षणिक लचीलापन, सभी के लिए समान अवसर तथा उच्च शिक्षा में तकनीक के उपयोग पर विशेष बल दिया गया है। राष्ट्रीय महत्व के संस्थान के रूप में एएमयू विद्यार्थियों, शोधार्थियों, पेशेवरों तथा आजीवन सीखने के इच्छुक लोगों के लिए उच्च गुणवत्ता वाले ऑनलाइन पाठ्यक्रम तैयार कर इस राष्ट्रीय अभियान में लगातार योगदान दे रहा है।
विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा आरंभ किये गये 48 पाठ्यक्रमों में 19 नए तथा 29 पुनः संचालित पाठ्यक्रम शामिल हैं। इनमें व्यवसाय प्रबंधन, वाणिज्य, संगणक विज्ञान, आँकड़ा विज्ञान, पर्यावरण अध्ययन, अर्थशास्त्र, शिक्षा, अंग्रेजी, भूगोल, हिंदी, फारसी, विधि, राजनीति विज्ञान, जनस्वास्थ्य, समाजशास्त्र, पुस्तकालय एवं सूचना विज्ञान, महिला अध्ययन, न्यायिक चिकित्सा, वनस्पति विज्ञान, वन्यजीव विज्ञान, जंतु विज्ञान तथा शारीरिक शिक्षा जैसे विषय शामिल हैं। इन पाठ्यक्रमों में रणनीतिक प्रबंधन, डिजिटल विपणन, पाइथन के माध्यम से आँकड़ा विज्ञान, आपदा जोखिम प्रबंधन, पर्यावरण शिक्षा, आणविक जीवविज्ञान, जनस्वास्थ्य, रंगमंच अध्ययन, डिजिटल मानविकी, अंतरराष्ट्रीय संबंध, उद्यमिता, वित्तीय प्रबंधन, विषविज्ञान तथा महिला उद्यमिता जैसे विषय पढ़ाए जाएंगे। अधिकांश पाठ्यक्रम 8 और 12 सप्ताह की अवधि के हैं।
स्वयं मंच के माध्यम से विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग के निर्धारित नियमों के अनुसार शैक्षणिक अंकों के हस्तांतरण की सुविधा भी उपलब्ध है। इसके तहत उच्च शिक्षण संस्थान अपने विद्यार्थियों को एक सत्र के कुल पाठ्यक्रमों का 40 प्रतिशत तक स्वयं मंच के माध्यम से पूरा करने और उसके शैक्षणिक अंक प्राप्त करने की अनुमति दे सकते हैं।
कुलपति प्रो. नईमा खातून ने देश के उच्च शिक्षण संस्थानों, शिक्षकों और विद्यार्थियों से इन पाठ्यक्रमों का लाभ उठाने की अपील की है। उन्होंने कहा कि इन पाठ्यक्रमों का उद्देश्य देश के हर शिक्षार्थी तक आधुनिक ज्ञान, व्यावहारिक कौशल और गुणवत्तापूर्ण शिक्षा पहुंचाना है, चाहे वह किसी भी क्षेत्र या सामाजिक-आर्थिक पृष्ठभूमि से क्यों न हो। उन्होंने कहा कि इससे स्वयं मंच को विश्वस्तरीय गुणवत्तापूर्ण शिक्षा के मंच के रूप में स्थापित करने में भी सहायता मिलेगी।
स्वयं पाठ्यक्रमों के समन्वयक प्रो. एम. आसिम जफर ने कहा कि 48 नए ऑनलाइन पाठ्यक्रमों की शुरुआत एएमयू की डिजिटल शिक्षा को सुदृढ़ बनाने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण उपलब्धि है। उन्होंने बताया कि विभिन्न विषयों के विशेषज्ञ शिक्षकों द्वारा तैयार किए गए ये पाठ्यक्रम विद्यार्थियों और पेशेवरों की बदलती शैक्षणिक तथा व्यावसायिक आवश्यकताओं को ध्यान में रखकर बनाए गए हैं। उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों, शोधार्थियों, शिक्षकों तथा कार्यरत पेशेवरों से इन पाठ्यक्रमों में पंजीकरण कर अपने ज्ञान, कौशल और व्यावसायिक दक्षता को बढ़ाने का आह्वान किया।
इन सभी एएमयू स्वयं पाठ्यक्रमों में नामांकन निःशुल्क है। हालांकि प्रमाणपत्र अथवा शैक्षणिक अंक प्राप्त करने के इच्छुक शिक्षार्थियों को स्वयं मंच और विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा निर्धारित औपचारिकताएं पूरी करनी होंगी। पाठ्यक्रमों और प्रवेश प्रक्रिया से संबंधित विस्तृत जानकारी स्वयं पोर्टल पर उपलब्ध है।
ALIGARH, July 28: Reinforcing its commitment to expanding access to quality higher education through digital learning, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has launched 48 Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) on the Government of India's SWAYAM platform for the July–December 2026 semester. The courses, developed by AMU's distinguished faculty members, are open to learners across the country free of cost, with enrolment now open through the SWAYAM portal.
The initiative aligns with the vision of Digital India and the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasise multidisciplinary learning, academic flexibility, equitable access, and the integration of technology in higher education. As an Institution of National Importance (INI), AMU has been actively contributing to this national mission by designing high-quality online courses for students, professionals, and lifelong learners.
According to the University, the 48 MOOCs, comprising 19 new and 29 rerun courses, span a wide range of disciplines, including Business Administration, Commerce, Computer Science, Data Science, Environmental Studies, Economics, Education, English, Geography, Hindi, Persian, Law, Political Science, Public Health, Sociology, Library and Information Science, Women's Studies, Forensic Medicine, Botany, Wildlife Science, Zoology, and Physical Education. The courses cover diverse themes such as strategic management, digital marketing, data science using Python, disaster risk management, environmental education, molecular biology, public health, theatre studies, Digital Humanities, international relations, entrepreneurship, financial management, toxicology, and women and entrepreneurship, among others. Most courses are offered in 8- and 12-week formats.
The SWAYAM platform also facilitates academic credit transfer in accordance with the UGC (Credit Framework for Online Learning Courses through SWAYAM) Regulations, enabling Higher Education Institutions to allow students to earn credits for up to 40 per cent of the courses in a semester through SWAYAM, subject to the applicable regulations. This framework provides greater curricular flexibility while ensuring the quality and recognition of online learning.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Naima Khatoon has appealed to higher educational institutions, teachers, and students to take advantage of these courses and actively participate in the initiative. She said the University's MOOCs are designed to equip learners with contemporary knowledge, practical skills, and academic enrichment irrespective of their geographical location or socio-economic background, while contributing to the national objective of making SWAYAM a globally recognised platform for quality education.
Prof. M. Aasim Zafar, Coordinator, MOOCs, said that the launch of 48 SWAYAM courses marks another significant milestone in AMU's efforts to strengthen digital learning and expand access to quality higher education. He said the courses have been developed by experienced faculty members across diverse disciplines to meet the evolving academic and professional needs of learners. As enrolment is now open, he urged students and research scholars to register for the courses to broaden their knowledge and academic horizons. He also encouraged faculty members and working professionals to enrol and utilise the platform for upskilling, reskilling, and continuous professional development.
Enrolment for all AMU SWAYAM courses is free, although learners seeking certificates or academic credit are required to complete the prescribed SWAYAM and University formalities. Detailed information about the courses and the enrolment process is available on the SWAYAM portal.
