An Inspiring Dialogue with the Intellectuals & Students of Aligarh Muslim University
It was a privilege to attend the “Dialogue & Get Together with Intellectuals & Students of Aligarh”, where distinguished leaders, academicians, researchers, and students came together for a meaningful exchange of ideas.
As a Research Scholar in the Department of Political Science, Aligarh Muslim University, and an active worker of the Indian National Congress, I found this interaction both enriching and motivating.
A heartfelt thanks to Shri Rajendra Pal Gautam Ji (In-charge, Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee & Former Minister) for his insightful address and for patiently listening to the concerns, aspirations, and challenges raised by students and young researchers. His thoughtful responses and commitment to inclusive politics inspired everyone present.
I also extend my gratitude to Shri Tauqeer Alam Ji (In-charge, Bihar), Shri Khalid Masood Ji, Shri Vivek Bansal Ji, respected Prof. Zillur Rahman Khan, and all the distinguished intellectuals and educators whose presence made the session truly memorable.
As a Congress worker, I firmly believe that real politics begins with listening to the people. Yesterday’s discussion reaffirmed that when leaders, students, and intellectuals come together with openness and mutual respect, meaningful solutions emerge.
The youth are not merely the future of India—they are an active force in shaping its present. Such dialogues strengthen democratic values, encourage participation, and inspire us to work collectively for an inclusive, progressive, and empowered nation.

बरी मस्जिद की शहादत के बाद... अब ज़रूरत इस बात की है कि इस वक़्त मुल्क के हालात बड़े अजीब-ओ-गरीब हैं। हम लोगों को सबको एक इंटरैक्शन करना चाहिए, डायलॉग का सिस्टम शुरू करना चाहिए। जिसके लिए मैं मुबारकबाद देता हूँ, जो इनिशिएट किया है।
इत्तेफ़ाक़ से हमारे इस जलसे के जो सदर हैं, वो भी सियासी आदमी नहीं हैं। हमारे प्रेसिडेंट साहब भी नहीं हैं, फॉर्मर सेक्रेटरी भी नहीं हैं और मेरा भी कोई सियासी... किसी पार्टी से ताल्लुक नहीं है। लेकिन, क्योंकि मुल्क के ऐसे हालात हो गए हैं, तो हमें निकलना पड़ेगा। हर शख़्स को सामने आना पड़ेगा, इस मुल्क का दिफ़ा (रक्षा) के लिए, इस मुल्क की बका (अस्तित्व) के लिए, इस मुल्क के उसके लिए।
और ख़ास तौर से, अब कट्टरपंथी नहीं है, अब ये मुल्क फासीवाद की तरफ चला गया है। अब ये सांप्रदायिकता से नहीं, अब अराजकता की तरफ बढ़ गया है और पता नहीं आने वाले वक़्त में क्या-क्या मामलात सामने आएँ, हमें उसके मुक़ाबले के लिए तैयार रहना चाहिए।
