प्रिय विद्यार्थियों,

जामिया मिल्लिया इस्लामिया (JMI) नये शैक्षणिक सत्र की शुरुआत पर आप सभी का हार्दिक स्वागत करता है और विशेष रूप से उन विद्यार्थियों का जिन्होंने हाल ही में इस प्रतिष्ठित संस्थान में विभिन्न अध्ययन कार्यक्रमों में एडमिशन लिया है।

हम इस अवसर पर यह दोहराना चाहते हैं कि विश्वविद्यालय प्रशासन आपकी शिक्षा, व्यक्तिगत विकास, कल्याण और व्यावसायिक भविष्य को सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता देता है। इन्हीं बातों को ध्यान में रखते हुए, आपके लिए एक बेहतरीन शैक्षणिक और शोध परिवेश (इकोसिस्टम) के साथ-साथ सभी संभव शैक्षणिक और पाठ्येतर (एक्स्ट्रा-करिकुलर) सुविधाएं उपलब्ध कराई जाती हैं, ताकि आप वे आवश्यक कौशल, ज्ञान और क्षमता हासिल कर सकें जो आपको भविष्य के अवसरों के लिए तैयार करें और इस अत्यधिक प्रतिस्पर्धी दुनिया में आपको सबसे अलग बनाएं।

हम अच्छी तरह जानते हैं कि हमारे बहुत से विद्यार्थी देश के दूर-दराज के इलाकों से आते हैं, और कई छात्र समाज के सामाजिक और आर्थिक रूप से पिछड़े वर्गों से ताल्लुक रखते हैं, जहाँ विश्वविद्यालय की शिक्षा अभी भी अधिकांश लोगों के लिए एक दूर का सपना बनी हुई है। आप में से प्रत्येक ने जो असाधारण यात्रा तय की है, उसमें आपके परिवारों, आपके समुदायों और देश की उम्मीदें जुड़ी हुई हैं। ये सामूहिक अपेक्षाएं आपकी अपार क्षमताओं और उस भरोसे को दर्शाती हैं जो आपके परिवारों और शिक्षकों ने आप पर जताया है।

इतनी कड़ी मेहनत, समर्पण और त्याग से संवारे गए भविष्य को जोखिम में डालने लायक कुछ भी नहीं है। सफलता उन्हीं को मिलती है जो सही निर्णय लेते हैं और जिनमें ऐसी किसी भी चीज़ का विरोध करने की समझ होती है जो उनके भविष्य की संभावनाओं में बाधा बनती है। भारत के माननीय प्रधानमंत्री के इस आश्वासन को ध्यान में रखते हुए कि विद्यार्थियों के हितों की रक्षा की जाएगी और विद्यार्थियों के भविष्य के साथ खिलवाड़ करने वालों के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई की जाएगी, जामिया अपने सभी विद्यार्थियों और हितधारकों से अपील करता है कि वे ऐसी किसी भी गतिविधि से दूर रहें जो कानून के अनुरूप नहीं है। सभी को जिम्मेदारी से काम करने और सावधानी बरतने की सलाह दी जाती है। अपनी पढ़ाई और शैक्षणिक जिम्मेदारियों पर ध्यान केंद्रित रखें और शैक्षणिक उत्कृष्टता हासिल करने तथा एक उज्जवल करियर बनाने के अपने मुख्य लक्ष्य को पूरा करने के लिए दृढ़ रहें।

Dear Students,

 

Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) extends a warm welcome to all of you at the start of the new academic session and particularly to those students who have just completed their admissions and enrolled in various programmes of study at this prestigious institution.

 

We take this opportunity to reiterate that the university administration places the highest value on your education, personal growth, well-being and professional future. It is with these in mind that an optimal academic and research ecosystem, along with all possible amenities and facilities, both academic and extracurricular, is made available to you so that you may acquire the necessary skills, knowledge and competence that will prepare you for the opportunities ahead and set you apart in a highly competitive world.

 

               We are well aware that a large number of our students come from the farthest corners of the country, and many belong to socially and economically marginalised sections of society, where university education still remains a distant dream for most. The extraordinary journey that each of you have undertaken carries the aspirations of your families, your communities, and the nation. These collective expectations reflect both your immeasurable potentialities and the trust that your families and teachers have placed in you. 

          Nothing is worth placing at risk a future nurtured through such hard work, dedication and sacrifice. Success comes to those who exercise sound judgement and have the prudence to resist anything that proves to be an impediment in their future prospects. In keeping with the assurances of the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India himself that the interests of the students shall be safeguarded and stern action will be taken against those who have played with the future of the students, JMI appeals to all its students and stakeholders to refrain from any activity that is not in keeping with the law. All are advised to act responsibly and exercise caution. Stay focused on your studies and academic responsibilities and be resolute in fulfilling your primary goal of achieving academic excellence and building a bright career.
