AMU Professor Elected Fellow of Prestigious Scientific Societies
Prof. Shamsul Hayat, Department of Botany, Aligarh Muslim University, has been honoured with fellowships of two leading scientific organisations in recognition of his outstanding contributions to plant science research.
Prof. Hayat has been elected as a Fellow of the Linnean Society of London (FLS), one of the world's oldest and most prestigious biological societies, and as a Fellow of the Society for Plant Research (FSPR) for his significant contributions to the field of plant sciences.
Widely recognised for his pioneering research in plant physiology, plant growth regulators, stress biology and sustainable agriculture, Prof. Hayat has made notable contributions to understanding plant responses to environmental challenges. His extensive research publications, books and mentorship of young scientists have earned him national and international recognition.
Prof. Hayat is currently serving as a Visiting Professor in Poland, where he is engaged in teaching, research and scientific collaboration, further strengthening international academic partnerships and knowledge exchange recognition.
